That's totally fair. If Marvel movies don't do much for you, I completely understand and respect that. But hearing certain people talk about some of their films like they are the bottom of the pile, most recently here where someone called Age of Ultron a "travesty"? That I do not understand, but all the power to ya.

I'm a fan, I just generally enjoy the X-Men films a little bit more. Marvel hasn't gone even near the bottom of the pile, Fox and DC still hold that price. Marvel at their worst is average, but still watchable.

These are my thoughts exactly

I still find it baffling how a movie like FFINO was even made. Like how.

A lot of people here kept guessing that the film didn't really even exists prior to trailer release. Hell, up to that point all we had seen was a blurry green screen picture of trashbag Doom, and a Thing bust. It might have been for the better if the film really didn't exist.

Never forget. I laugh cried so much for that I thought I was going to drop dead.

Well, when you are on a very strict timeline, and then you director suddenly decides he doesn't want to work in Hollywood anymore...

FOX has absolutely no interest in making a Fantastic Four movie. And it showed.

I actually do think Marvel's best (IM1, TWS, GOTG, CW) is up there with the best of other studios. The one exception is TDK which stands on a level above every other comic book film ever made.

Agreed.

Side note: As a fan of the X men I just can't get behind the films. There have been some great casting choices and some great moments but the movies themselves are a jumbled mess that have given us some horrible characterizations.

I'm still waiting for a back-to-basics x-men reboot. All new adult cast in the modern day. Start with a small team and expand out. Keep it simple and don't majorly screw up just three movies in. Lead up to a big villain like Apocalypse or something else.
I have basically zero excitement about another x-men film with the younger cast because I feel like they're just treading water at this point.

Yea the main X-Men series is a convoluted mess. Singer did some great things but it is definitely time for him to move on I think. Maybe try to get Vaughan back. Give the likes of Goddard, Carnahan, Rheese and Wernick more to do. All these guys have distinct styles and big imaginations. The young cast in Apocalypse have potential.

We need to see more of Sansa Stark as Jean Grey.
I'd also like to know why Nightcrawler left the team, and how come in X2 SansaJean & Storm act like they never met the blue man before. Same goes for his mom.

Well yea, the whole thing is a mess.

They should do a soft reboot. Keep the core group of youngsters with McAvoy and Fass. But kinda start fresh. Don't specifically ignore or mention previous continuity, just crack on with new stories.

It will make having a new Wolverine actor all the more acceptable.

And let's make him the focal point for at least 90% of the future movies. :)

Nah I think they should just reboot completely (and no DOFP doesn't count). No more past stories.

Just roll Deadpool into the new universe. He can even joke about it

Agreed. But get rid Lawrence and remember who Mystique really is. Make Scott the real team leader and do him justice. Make Rogue the heavy hitter she is. Don't character assasinate Angel and Quicksilver (he had some cool scenes but they really made him the most powerful mutant ever, nobody should have been able to stop him.) and most importantly at some point- Starjammers and and Sinister for petes sake.

Oh and I love Deadpool Colossus so keep him and you better damn well put Wolvy in costume.

'Wolverine, and his Background Supporting Characters'

As an idea this is interesting.

The last thing we need is another Phoenix Saga movie without the Saga.

I would like to see Deadpool as a sort of reboot. Introduce new adult versions of the x-men (including the new Colossus they already have). Set it in the modern day Deadpool world, maybe with the X-Men already established. They've gotta stop clinging to the past. I'd be more accepting of the new young x-men if they weren't so far separated the present day.

On the one hand I am kinda disappointed that Snyder didn't win worst director, on the other, when your competition for the razzies is literal political propaganda that's a little difficult to top.

I'm most happy with the win for worst screenplay though, what a complete joke of a movie.
