60 minutes longer, with more footage of Aquaman spinning his spear, stock Flash running, longer battle against Steppenwolf with more shots and BOOYAAHs from Cyborg.
And more Lois Lane, cause she helped in creating the foundation for the team.

:awesome:
Snyder stipulated in Fisher's contract that at least 80% of Cyborg's lines must be "BOOYAAHs" or equivalent.

Hello Mr. attorney, sir.
This will be the greatest movie of all time, I can sense it in my bones, and stuff.

Batgirl is probably perfectly within Whedon's wheelhouse, but I have to agree that it's a bit tiresome to see everything thrown behind the Bat side of the universe. I want to see more original characters get their time to shine first.

Whedon will make a Batgirl movie? Well, it sounds damn awesome. Probably even too good to be true. Color me excited.

Seems like every month a new DCEU film is announced. How many of these are actually going to get made?

Everyone with a Batman character. This is exactly why Cyborg is suddenly a major character in the Flash movie. He won't get his own.

Mixed bag for me. More Joss at comic book properties is a good thing but for the love of God weill every bat member get a movie?? get ready for Alfred Origins: The Butler in 2019!

lol

Noooooo!
Damned traitor, Whedon.. f' the bat family!!
Lol

Haha, I'd be fine with the talent helping out on both sides to make both universes as good as they can be. DC have quite a few properties that might suit Whedon.

"So, WB, can you like, give us an update on how the DCEU slate is looking like right now?"

WB: HAVE ANOTHER MOVIE.

Suddenly, all the criticisms of Whedon will vanish into thin air. We've loved him unconditionally all along.

Two things I can see happening with Batgirl, this will either fall apart and Whedon will leave the project or the movie will be f***ed by WB.

It'll be a great showcase on why the problems aren't on the directors or the creative team, but the studio mismanaging it.

IMDB says the runtime for JL is 170 minutes, which would be 19 minutes longer than BvS TE and 13 minutes shorter than the UE.

Honestly I think JL needs it, it has to introduce Aquaman, Cyborg, The Flash, Steppenwolf and their respective worlds. Not to mention further develop Superman and Batman. This is good news to me.

Because as we all know Snyder manages his time prudently. If that's true, yikes, this is gonna one bloated experience.

Eh, I still stand by him not being a director to be excited about. Writer, sure. But he is nothing special behind the camera.

Then it really has to bank of being good or at least entertaining.

Because a mediocre or divisive film is going to have steep drop offs by the 2nd week.

Personally I don't want to sit through another joyless 3 hour romp through the DCEU universe.

Too bad, enjoy more Batman.

That's where my issue with this stems. While I haven't cared for his movie scripts, he has done good work on TV there so I'm not totally pessimistic on that front. But him directing it, that's where I find the news disappointing. Guess I'll just have to hope he learned from those two Avengers outings.

Writing is his key strength and most CBM films I think could improve by having some collaboration with Whedon, but I wouldn't list him among my favourite film directors (yet anyway).

While their screen time is almost identical, Steve is clearly the protagonist of the story, and Tony the antagonist.

One of the great things about that film is that each "villain" is complex, evil to some, sympathetic to others.

Edited to add: 9th

Being an antagonist does not make you a villain. And my point is not who is the protagonist, I am saying who had the better, more important role.

Even if you disagree--which I suspect everyone probably will--the point isn't who is the protagonist. Chief Brody has more screen time than anyone in Jaws; I'd argue Quint is the better character; if you want to make it about villains, then the Joker has less than half the screen time of Batman in The Dark Knight, and Anton Chigurh is probably only in about 30 to 40 percent of No Country for Old Men, and he is clearly the antagonist. But let us not pretend Josh Brolin got the better role.
