Yes it was. Batman Year One.Wasn't it Frank Miller who made Selina an escort/prostitute/hooker whatever?

I had a thought today. Maybe she choose the profession of a stripper because she knew the kind of clients who would come into the joint. I can see that as a possibility.
Or ... is that too soon of a question (since we just got done debating about strippers being moral?)

Ahem. Nixon? I predicted this ten pages ago![]()
Well, glad we're thinking the same thoughts. Cause I haven't been in this thread since the little skirmish broke out.
I'd love to see Selina use the whip for pulling people close to her.
But those are my thoughts about Selina being a stripper too. She hears the information from someone and they both show up at the same 'place' where their trail leads.
I'm not so sure..remember ChrisB's source said she comes from a troubled past, so she may be a dancer out of necessity or no perceivable choice at all. Then she hears something she's not supposed to hear from Modine's character and, finally having had enough and inspired by Batman's example she engages in her own form of vigilantism.
Of course, when she encounters Batman as Catwoman, I can bet there will be some antagonistic tension between the two. Selina could be enamored with Batman, but on the flip side Bruce could be enamored with Selina. It could make for a very interesting dynamic in their arcs as love interests
I like the way you're going with this. It's like you're reading my mind. I'm just gonna let you talk.![]()
The question is will we see any actual cats in this film?
I can't wait to see actual footage of Bale and Hathaway on screen together.

Yeah, that one video of Bale by Wayne Manor with who I am hoping is Anne totally got me excited for some Bruce/Selina scenes.

its easier to writte characters like this. the same reason why X-men first class worked. Magneto's story. and the same reason why Planet of the Apes movie works.Interesting report, Chris. If it pans out that Catwoman is indeed one of the best-written characters of the trilogy, it would put to rest the perhaps unfair complaint that Nolan can't do good women in his films.
