EVERYTHING Black Panther - Part 2

Cannonball and Sunspot are on the team? Not too bad. The only thing is that Namor sunk Wakanda with a massive tidal wave, so I'm wondering if they're going to make T'Challa and Wakanda look weak and just let by gones be by gones. Wouldn't mind a war between Atlantis and Wakanda. It has loads of potential, but Marvel would probably screw it up by having Wolverine as a mercenary or something while Reed Richards comes up with some deus ex machina to save the world.

Listen, there's a room with two doors. Panther walks in one, Namor walks in the other.

You'd like to see what happens next, right? Well I know I did, so I wrote it.

It's some fierce, foreboding ****.

I suspect he will make it some ongoing beef between the two. And honestly, that's how it should be between Royal Superheroes, they can never really just get along, can they?

I really want to see a BP movie... everytime I see that Avengers lineup with the big 4, I imagine him there, honestly.

They're gonna kill Panther off in the first storyline.

This lines sounds like in Blade 2 where Scud asks Blade what he thinks about the vampire pact.

Scud: So what do ya think, B?

Blade: Sounds like a plan.

Whistler: What do you really think?

Blade: They're gonna **** us the first chance they get.

Basically Namor and Black Panther walk in the same door. Black Panther threatens Namor with some device. Captain America hits T'Challa with a chair and then makes the biggest heel turn in history. The next issue Vince McMahon replaces Nick Fury as head of SHIELD.

Can't make Panther TOO powerful, is their motto. He can beat Storm, but he better not best Namor or any of the big guns.

I'm assuming everyone is against Panther being a younger man?

I haven't seen the Hunger Games yet, but I've seen two interviews with Dayo Okeniyi and I like the guy. Plus, he's probably recognizable by a lot of Hunger Games fans.

He's 23. Not sure why he wouldn't make a good T'Challa.

No, we actually want him younger.

I actually prefer him younger as well.

Okeniyi did a good job with what little he was given, but perhaps its just me, whenever someone mentions a young African male actor who has not made a big splash on this side of the pond, I'm not impressed. Almost certainly they have the talent, or else they wouldn't be anywhere, but I'd prefer someone that brings at least a little following with them. I think more than talent alone is needed.

So now that we know Ant-Man is coming out after Avengers 2 in 2015, there's a pretty big 3 month gap between Captain America 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy. I could see Black Panther coming out in one of those 3 months, probably June.

Okeniyi has more of a following than Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston did, and look how that turned out.

I dont see a BP coming out then. I think we know their 2015 schedule. I dont think they have secret films planned.

That's not a big gap at all. If they were planning a Panther movie for 2014 they would have announced it already.

Pretty much.

I don't think Marvel even have a finished script they are willing to greenlight for Black Panther yet.

It's more than a script for them, they want a director with a great pitch. Which is a lot to ask, because there aren't a lot of writers with great pitches and there aren't a lot of (any?) directors who do black character who who are up for submitting their babies to the Marvel machine, especially when their hard work can be rejected for any number of ham fisted reasons. Why not just work on your own stuff.

Marvel doesn't want a newbie director at all for this, and they don't have the flexibility that veteran directors need. It's unlikely they'll ever get this together. Perhaps in 2016. Perhaps not, we'll see.

they should try to tie it in to existing MCU canon. I would venture to say that at some point, Caps shield is broken (maybe by Thanos) and he needs it either repaired or a new one entirely

enter wakanda

I actually like this idea a lot,
This could be Cap 3, with Cap and Sharon venturing into Wakanda

Not sure I like the sound of that as an introduction to T'Challa...

do you have a link for that?

It's from Newsarama's NYCC feed on YT. CBM quoted this from Joe Q:

"There is a project I am very much involved in, and I'll give you this hint. I have to go to the West Coast to work on it. There have been rumors about it little things have leaked here and there, but there has been no official announcement."

West Coast Avengers!

Lol, that would be one way to introduce a 'lesser' team of Avengers, and its idea we've bandied about. Some or all of them could then graduate to the main Avengers group in Avengers 2 or 3.

This group could include characters like Ms. Marvel, Luke Cage, War Machine and Black Panther whom they are not willing to give solo movies to but they want to appear anyway.
