I'm glad Chestnut sent the tweet/made the Facebook post...at least it's generating some discussion on the topic again! lol
That being said, I'm not big on the idea of him playing T'Challa. I think he's fine for supporting roles in action movies, but a lead? I don't think he's that good of an actor. He seemed to find his niche in romantic comedies over a decade ago (The Best Man, The Brothers, Two Can Play That Game, etc.). He definitely has a presence, and the ladies love him...but to be the one to finally bring the Black Panther to life on the big screen? I just don't see it.
My vote remains with Chiwetel Ejiofor. However, I am looking forward to seeing how Chadwick Boseman does as the lead in 42. He may become my second choice.
And even though that ship has sailed for him, I'd like to see Wesley Snipes have a role in a Black Panther film...perhaps as T'Chaka. Just to reward him for campaigning so hard for a BP film all of these years.
