All those british black actors like Idris Elba, Paterson Joseph, Colin Salmon and David Oyelowo did great african accents in the BBC/HBO adaptation of The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency

elmayimbe ‏@elmayimbe 2m MARVEL FANBOY NATION, I might know who is playing THE BLACK PANTHER! Waiting for rep to call me back & confirm! Standyby & RT

Could be getting something soon!

El Maybe also just got debunked about the logline for the new FF, within like an hour of "leaking" the "information". Everything that guy says should be taken with a block of salt.

That's probably why he said he's waiting for a rep to confirm.

Right. And if he's wrong about whoever plays BP he'll just play his "spoke to soon" card again. I've said before that there may very well be a chance he's right but as of late it's been rocky. It just seems like he's trying to constantly stay in the hype bubble and jump on anything that turns out to be true to mention that he called it first.

I figured after 42 he was gonna be on some studio wish lists.

Eh. I still don't believe it. He's just as sure about this guy as he was about the last guy.

However, Boseman would be a better choice in my opinion. I just hope he does the East African accent.

Chadwick Boseman is the perfect kind of actor for a role like BP. Young, handsome, up-and-coming actor. Like Chris Hemsworth

If BP has a British accent I'll be pissed. African accents sound so badass

I still think Ejiofor is the man for this. He just has that regal presence that T'challa needs

Agreed, plus he doesn't have a generic black guy look.

Ejiofor looks like someone unique. And he can easily express nobility.

Agreed. Dude would be awesome as the black panther. Have snipes play the dad and I'm satisfied.

People really take Latino-Review for granted. When they give us legit scoops they get no credit, but when they end up being wrong they're suddenly always wrong. This is one of those things that I think they're right about, and it makes sense.

I've been one of the ones standing up for Mayimbe but after the last two weeks I just can't anymore, especially after that FF logline thing that was obvious BS and now we know he was just talking out of his ass when he "confirmed" that Iron Man would meet the Guardians in the IM3 after crerdit scene. I'd believe the other LR writers who don't come out with a new "scoop" every couple days, but not him.

He never claimed that the FF logline thing was real. The headline even says "Could This Be The Logline Of The Upcoming ‘Fantastic Four’ Reboot?"
Also, two of his most recent casting scoops, the Colin Firth and Cillian Murphy casting, ended up being true.

I don't want to be one of the people who just automatically say he's wrong since he has been right a couple times, but he just throws way too many "scoops" out every week and half are almost mere speculation for me to take him seriously anymore. He was already wrong about a Black Panther movie once before anyway.

Yeah that's the huge upside with Boseman. He's around the same age as Evans and Hemsworth and they could totally do T'Challa's origin as well as showing how he's grown into the role of king if there ever was to be a second/third film.

Also this.

The main actor frm 42 or the evil, black CEO from Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

I still don't think BP is getting a solo film, but maybe they are looking at Boseman for BP in Avengers 2.

Yeah, they've already used up most of the black Hollywood regulars. Taye Diggs, Tyrese and Morris Chestnut are the only ones left :meanie:
