That would not be a bad costume.

That's a pretty cool costume. But I don't get what's wrong with the classic costume. It doesn't look goofy & Panther needs to be agile, he doesn't need armor to weigh him down.

The popular opinion on this forum is that Mackie is a much better fit for Falcon than Black Panther:

They are said to be looking at Chadwick Boseman, but I would not be surprised to see Chiwetel Ejiofor on their list too.

I know for a fact, before Mackie was cast a Falcon he was a top choice by many to play BP. After he was casted then sure. His look just fits it more when you look at him. But before he was casted, no one was clamoring for Mackie to be Falcon haha.

This is an awesome cosplay costume. Cosplay quality has evolved to the point where it rivals if not surpasses professional designs. It WOULD NOT irk me to see something similar to this on film.

How about instead of T'Challa, Ejiofor for T'Chaka?

I say this because my top three for T'Chaka are in Thor 2 (AAA and Hounsou) and Guardians of the Galaxy (Elba).

Not a bad idea, especially if they go with some young buck for T'Challa.

Could T'Chaka still have a role after his death, in a Jedi-ghost type of appearance as T'Challa "communes with Black Panthers from the past"? I don't have encyclopedic knowledge of Black Panther so I don't know if this is something that happens, but I know there is a lot of mysticism in his world and he has a connection to the Panther God and stuff like that.

If they cast someone like Ejiofor for T'Chaka, that might be one way to get the most bang for their buck out of an actor like that.

Reviews for 12 years a slave are outstanding. Ejofor is getting serious oscar buzz from the Telluride film festival. Hop on this Marvel! Ejiofor as T'Challa, Denzel as T'Chaka, Kerry Washington as Shuri, Angela Bassett as Ramonda.

Why not? He loves action movies. In the past couple of years alone, he's done Safe House, Book of Eli, 2 Guns and is set to do the Equalizer as well. The only thing is if Marvel is willing to pay him, and i think they would. He bring star power and a certain level of box office security with him.

You know what, they should sign him and have him play the main villain. Now that would be something.

Denzel ten years ago would not have, however, he does not command what he used to and seems to know it. Still, I don't think T'Chaka has the edge or screentime he likes his characters to have. I have yet to see a Denzel cameo. The main bad guy might be very interesting.

I think T'Chaka is more of a Morgan Freeman type of role. He'd kill in it, though he's a bit old, and if he makes a cameo in Avengers 2 with the whole Vibranium issue, I could see how he might have been already cast or something.

I think that T'Chaka would show up a good bit. When they show T'Challa's origin there would have to be a pretty lengthy scene with T'Chaka taking on Klaw and losing. Then I could see a lot of flashbacks to young T'Challa learning from T'Chaka.

Of course. If a star of Denzel's caliber played Killmonger, he would of course be the main baddie. Doesn't matter who they cast as Klaw, because of Denzel's stature in Hollywood, Killmonger would be the main villain.

Yeah, I wouldn't put him in the same film as Klaw. I'd do Klaw and M'Baka for the first film, Killmonger and some Mutates for the second and if there's a third, Achebe or some villain from the larger Marvel Universe.

Y'know who else doesn't do cameos? Will Smith.

This has been my feeling for a while now. With all of the Oscar buzz he's getting for "12 Years," this bound to be a star-making role for Chiwetel Ejiofor. If he's not among Marvel's top choices for T'Challa already (and he should be), he will be after this film.
