Well this casting changes the dynamic to be more bearable. If it's Sue who is adopted then I think there will be a better explanation for why.

Cathey was great in House of Cards. I'm guessing Trank is a HoC fan. A lot of the actors from that are getting work in Marvel movies now though, with Stoll up for a role in Ant-Man.

House of Cards is great.

Reg E. Cathey? He may be a great actor if, in real life, he's a lively, emotional expressive person. The two characters I've seen him play have been pretty much devoid of any real emotion or range, so it's hard to judge his acting skill.

I hated the Kirby/Lee version of their father being a surgeon who lost his wife on the operating table and descended into gambling and alcoholism and who then later redeemed himself before giving his life for his kids.

I think it's better that he had something to do with creating a think tank responsible for creating the Baxter building.


The ultimates nailed that kind of improvement over the quaint 1960s narrative.

No issue with the new casting - it's just another indication that the UFF is the only thing being adapted here.

You know, that property that didn't last a decade instead of the one that's been around for nearly half a century.
