I honestly think, based on this picture, she's not going to be referred to as Catwoman in this film. She's Selina.

If she is never called "Catwoman" I'm going to be pretty upset. Why bring in and waste the full potential of a character? Harvey at least got to be Two-Face for an evening.

I don't know when the City Hall, Bats and Police vs Bane and Co, with Bats and Catwoman on batpods, takes place in the movie, whether it's toward the end or not.....but it seems if Bats is allowing Catwoman to use the Batpod, it's middle to the end...so I'm really concerned that "THAT" is the final costume. I really hope I'm wrong.....but I really don't see why Nolan couldn't use the current comic version, which would be right up Nolan's alley. Overall, I'm really disappointed right now.

Exactly. If this is Catwoman's final look, it'd be a drastic departure from what he's done in the past. We didn't even think he'd go for Joker's purple suits.

Yeah, that's part of why I'm not (too) worried yet. What people expected Nolan to do (no purple, subtle Two-Face scars, Bane with no venom) was always a lot more pedestrian than what Nolan chose to do. Thus, one hopes that this incredibly pedestrian Catwoman is not the whole picture.

It's WB's point to get people talking by releasing this.

Let's not forget, however, as many have already stated :

- It's a "still". We don't know the how, the why, the when. Nothing. It may not even be from the film, but only a promo picture.

- She may have headgear at some point in the film. This still could be from a scene before that, or after (I can see her getting rid of it in the heat of the final battle)

- We don't know anything about how she will be named "Catwoman". She may not have gone for a cat motif while assembling the suit, but other people could have started calling her Catwoman because of OTHER things (her agility, her ability to see in total darkness...)

- At the end of the day, we don't know anything. That's a picture out of its context. Everybody's allowed to speculate, but there's no need to adopt condescending tones and call people names about their opinions.

I don't think he's gonna tiptoe around it. Sure he didn't call Dent "Two-Face" more than once, but Dent got the full face-scarring treatment.

This isn't the final Catwoman costume. It goes against everything that Nolan has done in the past films. The only question is why WB would release THIS obviously hurried image rather than one from the photoshoot that Gill said already happened...

because in the photoshoots she is not on a batpod. she is doing poses. this is the image that they took this week. or maybe even yesterday.

Nolan is more dedicated to the mythos than people give him credit for.

I'm not going to freak out quite yes, since--as many have pointed out--the fact that she's not wearing a mask here doesn't mean she won't wear one.

But if she doesn't? Well, that would be pretty unacceptable. Selina's an eccentric who dresses up like a cat; if that's not true, then she's not much like Selina Kyle, is she?

I'm sure it isn't the final costume and that Catwoman WILL have a mask with ears. As you said, Nolan gave Scarecrow a burlap mask, Joker his white face/green hair/purple suit, and Two-Face bundles of facial scarring. All of the villains look like their comic counterparts.

There is no effin' way he will deny Catwoman a mask with cat ears on it.

I'm pretty sure that name will be used in some capacity in the movie. Nolan has changed how many of the villains look and came about. But he has always worked their iconic names into the movie in some way.

Scarecrow was a guy running around in a suit and a mask he put on from time to time, and the Joker's appearence was modified heavily (including the once hated change from perma-white). While Joker was mostly faithful to the comics, his appearence was still quite different.

Uh, yeah... none of that is relevant to my point.

WB hurridly released this pic to beat the spy pics to come later today, but this is not the official look of Catwoman! There is another promo out there, that probably has the full look.

Wow, just got on the boards and saw this. I have to say I dislike the suit. Doesn't look like a Cat to me at all. However, much like our first view of Bane (shirtless) it is possible it isn't the whole suit but a teaser. That said, very disappointed.
