The Dark Knight Rises Details on Catwoman in TDKR

i think all of us want Catwoman to look like Catwoman. But i believe that Nolan likes to stir the pot and release picts of characters that do not tell the full story of that character just to mess with us (the public).

all i am saying is that so far, he hasnt let us down yet and i am not going to let a single photo of her riding a bat-pod dictate that he completely missed the Catwoman outfit. Patience, fellas when the movie comes out - lets pick it apart. until then, healthy debates are great, but dont assume that what we see now is a finished product.

:applaud

The Bane pic only gave us some of the costume. The coat, the vest, that wasn't included. So going by that, it's probably safe to assume there is more, Nolan just doesn't want to show it all right away. Give it time, more will come.

Just like if Batman weren't in his suit all that would matter is the writing a performance. Because that's the relevant comparison for Catwoman.

Has Batman had maskless looks before ? I give up . Marvel is allowed to change the apperance of its charcter but Nolan can't . Thats the logic being made with the Wolverine/Catwoman comparisons

I believe the quote was "That's like a tenth of what the catsuit is" not what it can do, but what it is. Who knows is the point though. They probably only released those pics because they knew blurry spy pics would have made even more of a stir up.

And with all due respect to Jett, and I do frequent his site from time to time, I'd rather take the word of the actress on the set.
I did take the word of the actress, cause the MTV video interview has her saying "1/10th" of what the suit can do".

Check it out here.

I'm at work unfortunately, so I can't link to MTV, but I'm going off the quote on the main page of this site, where she said "of what the catsuit is".

Either way, I don't think they would have revealed anything about her at this point if they could have helped it. But they knew people would have pics as soon as they got to Pitt. I'm just saying exercise a little restraint, it's certainly possible there's more to it, wouldn't you agree?

The over whelming majority of catwoman's looks were masked. Including those 2that without a cowl. She was massless in one issue. One. Her next appearance debuted a mask and cape.

Your Wolverine comparison falls flat on it's face because it is not apt and the unmasked Logan is just as iconic as masked Logan and arguably more iconic because there would have been a fan revolt if Jackman hadn't had the hair.

Catwoman however needs to be visually tied to cats to be who she is. The cowl is the most logical way to do that for even Nolan's world.

Well, there is a video, and you can see Anne's lips say "what it can do".:cwink:

Technically, Bruce went through a couple iterations of his costume in BB, and when he first goes to meet Gordon, that suit looked nothing like Batman, at all. Now imagine if he was in a Catwoman movie and that was the first pic released of him, then we'd have an appropriate comparison...

Restraint? What's that? Here on the batboards, we only practice the ancient art of Nee-Jirk. :o

1 Overwhelming not all and Julia Newmar's is arguable the most famoust (thats a wehole other debate)
2 If you say so

3No she doesn't . You may prefer it but she is a Cat Burgler and from Wiki

A catsuit is a close-fitting one-piece garment that covers the torso and the legs, and frequently the arms.[1] They are usually made from stretchable material, such as lycra, chiffon, spandex (after 1959), leather, latex, PVC, or velour, and frequently close using a zipper at the front or back.
Catsuits, which date from at least the 1940s, can be worn by both men and women, and, despite the name, do not generally have feline characteristics

Ahhhh memories. The s*** storm over that was greater than the pint sized Bane/old man voice criticisms we have now.

Really? God that must have been horrible. :funny:

It had it's moments where you felt like tearing your hair out. Though I could understand people's upset. Can't imagine Joker without his trademark purple suit.

Fortunately we didn't have to.

But at least Bane's voice was hilarious. :woot:

Absolutely lol.

I think Anne Hathaway looks great in that suit regardless of whether or not she wears a cowl. :yay:

No it's not,Selena/Catwoman may be one of the biggest Bat villains&allies But Batman is f'n Batman the THE biggest star in every Bat related thing,Catwoman has had much different looks than most other characters and the only thing she always had was the cat ears,The suit shown so far could have been way off and so at least this one looks like modern day Catwoman in the books!!!

Cowl missing is bad,But it's not as bad as IF Batman was missing his!!

Ha, I've never seen those Onstar commercials before. It's a mix of the Burton and Schumacher movies. Pretty cool, actually. :word:

Yeah I loved those commercials and looking back at that Youtube video with all commercials put together plus his tiny part in the intro for BOP.....I always wanted to see him play Bruce&Batman in a live-action TV show or something!
