You know, I think I kind of like Roose Bolton. I can't blame him for being fed up with Robb's leadership; there's a video on YT that shows just how many times Bolton tried to counsel Robb only to be interrupted.

link please :lmao:

Mycah?

Though, as this show goes, he's relatively cuddly...

The Hound was under oath to follow Joffrey's orders. Imagine how much worse it could've been for Mycah if Joffrey had saved him for later. :csad:

Dat sadface... :csad:

Another thing I love about Arya and The Hound's scene last night was that he didn't even bother getting himself involved until the other three were about to attack her. Before that he was like "Naaah, let the girl have her fun."

Not sure if this is spoiler material or not, but can someone tell me what the deal is with Stannis' daughter's face?

When Ramsay was beating Theon to say his "new" name, was I the only one thinking of Roots and Kunta Kinte.

Greyscale. I haven't read far enough into the books to know the whole deal with it, but I think it's been said that it's sort of leprosy-like and a result of the moist environment of Dragonstone.

Funnily enough the author doesn't really understand how Stannis became so popular. He's a stoic and rigid man that really only cares about what's right in the books, and he's meant to be pretty unlikable (hence why most people in the Stormlands and the Reach rallied behind Renly instead). I like him as a character in the story but I don't think he's a particularly pleasant person (and despite his dedication to what's right he does a few really dishonorable things).

The author is also surprised at that a good deal of people hate Catelyn and Sansa, which wasn't his intention either. Some things get a life of their own.

Just to be clear I'm only referring to the characters as they are up until the point where we are in the show.
He has called Stannis righteous.

As person Stannis is pretty unlikeable, he's extremely antisocial for a Baratheon and his stubbornness is frustrating to all around him. As a human being you wouldn't want to be Stannis' friend.

But at the same time he's just so relentless and unyielding in his devotion to justice, and so much of an immovable object that it's a joy to read him. Also you gotta love how little he cares about Davos' lowborn nature.

It's a disease that essentially kills the flesh, and makes it feel like stone. Shireen survived it as a baby, but it left her face disfigured.

The kid who plays her was one of the original London Matildas - you can see her un-greyscaled (and putting peroxide in her father's hair tonic) at the 2:45 mark here:

I appreciated this scene. The cliche would be for her to not shoot him because she "loves" him. But George knows better; she would shoot him. Several times. Because she loved him and he betrayed her.

They should look into moving or something. :o

Stannis has been putting himself in for that transfer to the Glendale, Arizona branch, but you know, it's all about office politics.

I honest to God love the small council scene so much.... As soon as Joffrey shot his mouth off at Tywin, no one said a word until he was dismissed, but you could clearly see it on their faces...

Tywin: I wonder if anyone in the history of the Seven Kingdoms has ever been killed by a glare before... Let's find out!

Joffrey: Did I really just-- oh, ****.

Cersei: Are you ****ing ******ed, my love?

Tyrion: Oooooh my, this should be quite entertaining. I only wish Bronn was here, with a bottle of wine and a few ****es in tow...

Pycelle: Your Grace, I-- oh, dear, I-- oh no...

Varys: A riddle, Your Grace. A prancing little **** with a crown on his head thinks he can mouth off to his grandfather, the richest and most powerful man in Westeros, who just orchestrated what could arguably be seen as the Stark's extinction. Who lives? Who dies?

you do realize robb stark was the only king that has won every battle he fought.robb was a brilliant military strategist even better than ned and robert that's why tywin had him assassinated because he couldn't beat him on the battlefield.so roose Bolton is full of ****

If we're going to be frank with one another, Robb Stark lost the war. Winning battles is irrelevant, as Tywin Lannister clearly demonstrated. You don't build a ragtag army and fight one of the wealthiest, brilliant, and ruthless men in Westeroes. Operating on a sense of selective honor over pragmatism was Robb's biggest weakness. Killing Karstark so soon was unwarranted. Robb needed Karstark's men. Thus, it would've been more sensible to hold Karstark to ransom. Even better--Robb should've looked the other way and continued on with his goal of winning the war. If Robb wanted Talisa, he should've waited until after marrying Frey's daughter and gaining his support.

So Robb Stark is full of arrows.

Robb wasn't a brilliant strategist...he made a lot of mistakes. The Lannisters were in the capital and Robb used that to his advantage to win small battles. He couldn't see the long game like Tyrion or Tywin.

I liked the symmetry of them all calling out "The King of the North" in a mocking way in this last episode compared to the triumphant and hopeful version from last season.
