Green Arrow series in the works at The CW - Part 2

I was just wondering: Wayne is a billionaire (has various skills), is Batman. Stark is a billionaire (has various skills), is Iron Man. Queen is a billionaire (has various skills), is Green Arrow.
I have been seeing "Money is the best superpower" on teh internetz recently. So explain Oliver queen to me... Q: Is the differentiating factor money, or is it brains?

I was very pleasantly surprised by this pilot! I honestly thought it was going to be the typical CW trash, and I'm glad I was proven wrong.

lol...If Sethypants was still here he'd be going on and on about it...lol.

I don't know about Dinah being Black Canary anytime soon but I do like the nod of her firm being called CNRI (canary).

I too thought it would be typical CW fare and was very surprised it wasn't. Also glad this put this before Supernatural.

It's pretty sweet that I can only view CW on one night where the only two worthwhile shows will be on.

Yes, she is. I was happy when Merlyn actually called her Dinah at the end. Her evolution and Huntress' appearance has me very excited.

Agreed. I am super pysched to see Huntress on this show after watching the pilot. LOL...I am still lobbying for her to wear a mask and some purple though...lol.

I think that might actually help, to be honest. My mom was watching it with me and she was much more intrigued by the backstory than I was.

They changed things from the comic so you dont even need to know the characters before hand, so ya an outsider could find them interesting.

He did. I'm hoping that's more a coincidence and not forshadowing. That'd suck. I'm hoping she dies and his sidekick is someone who reminds him of her. Maybe Mia Dearden.

But hey, I've been okay with crazier changes in comic book adaptions. I mean I managed to watch Smallville for most of it's run.

A different Speedy won't suck if the writing is good, and if you survived Smallville, you should be fine then. t:

Really liked the Pilot, they made the main characters interesting (unlike most shows), the way Oliver's relationships evolve should be fun to watch. And is already better than Revolution, which is not that hard to do anyway.

I really wanted to like this, but I just got incredibly bored with the lead. He really needs to develop a personality.

Still, the action scenes I did enjoy and I'll stick it out for a while.

Nice to see that every person in this gritty and "realistic" take looks like a model with superbly white teeth.

Neither. I don't think he has a superhero name yet since he has not made his public debut. He's just some dude in green who shoots arrows so far.

Surprisingly I enjoyed this. My exposure to Green Arrow is a few trades and Smallville so I wasn't sure what to expect but I thought it was pretty decent and the cast so far seems quite solid. I look forward to the next episode.

Holy ****!

THE FIGHTING IS ****ING FANTASTIC! Best fight choreography currently on television BY FAR. The action and parkour was SICK.

CW definitely has a winner, this is lasting at least 5 years, may go 10 just like Smallville. The story is a lot better than expected, they set up so much and the characters don't seem like typical one dimensional comic book fare. Really interested to hear about what happened to him in the jungle, very interested to see how Canary and Speedy develop.
