Hey all,

Just thought you'd like to hear my version of the Man of Steel theme by Hans Zimmer.

It's a bit heavier...and LOTS of guitars :)

That's awesome man! Cool interpretation. Loved some of the Djent influence at the end :word:

I've heard your Batman one too and thought it was pretty sick. I did a TDKR metal cover of my own that's in my sig if you wanna check it out.

I am sticking to my gut feeling: I am pretty sure it will leak on June 11

I'm thinking I might actually buy a physical copy of this CD. Since I haven't done that in a long, long while, will a place like Best Buy have it on Tuesday? Going off to a conference that day and have a two hour drive. It would be amazing if I could pick this up to listen to on the way. My wife won't be too thrilled, though.

I'd be very surprised if Best Buy doesn't have it on display day of release.

I may buy a physical copy, too. The case looks pretty snazzy.

Think I might just buy this on iTunes. Normally don't buy soundtracks but I'm digging this one so far.

I'm with you on that. I don't know if it's the little bit I've heard and liked, the fact that this is Superman, or the insatiable thirst for all things Man of Steel as I wait for this film, but I have to have this.

I have the deluxe soundtrack pre-ordered on Amazon to arrive the day of release. I don't know if I can wait until after I get home from work to listen to it. Maybe I can use a sick day and just peek out of the blinds all morning waiting for the mailman. Loved the music in the Nokia trailer.

Mine arrives Tuesday, but unfortunately I'll have to wait until I get home at 7 pm :-(

Like I said, my hope is that I can find it in the store before I leave for my trip. I'll be driving west in the morning (Durham to Reidsville) to drop off my dogs and have 4 Walmarts on the way. In hopes of finding Armored Zod and Faora, I plan on stopping at all of them, or until I find one with them. Maybe Wally World will have the disc, too.

This argument is silly, it all comes to personal taste. That being said, the melodic progression is a lot more predictable on Horner's work in this track. Elfman's is far more layered and soothing. And epic near the ending.

So, I say Elfman wins. That being said Horner's ASM music has an element of mystery that Elfman sometimes lacks. So I can understand you liking ASM's music more.

I like both of them actually, and wasn't meaning to start an argument. I was joking about Horner winning. I do prefer the emotional cue that Horner wrote more then Elfman's, but I love Elfman's too. It may due to the fact that I was in a hard place last year and Horner helped me get the tears out and move on to positive things, so it has a emotional connection to me that Elfman's doesn't. Either way though, I love both composers and always have.

There's a track very very early on in the film, where some guy yells in the start of the theme, it was so horrendous...I burst out laughing before the film started.

That was not a good sign of a good score at all.

How can this not leak?!?! The press already have copies ffs!! [/spoiled fangirl outrage]

I'm really shocked that it hasn't. The ninjas have done well guarding this soundtrack.

My anger grows every hour that this doesn't leak, I guess I'm so used to getting things so early all the time I'm a little spoiled.

It might leak tomorrow or Saturday. That's what I've heard. But shhh.

If not then next Monday or Tuesday is more likely. WaterTower Music will have it up at least 3-4 days before the release. It's kind of a regular thing to do nowadays.
