It's been more than 10 years, so I can't really remember. What would you say are some of the interesting differences you've seen in the UK?
I'm just so curious how you guys see us from the outside!
Hrmmm. I didn't realize that Cavill's accent was so hard to place. I assumed that because he was private school educated, his accent was classic RP/Southern English. It doesn't sound too different from old Etonians like Hugh Laurie to me. However, I'm Canadian and what little I know about such things comes from books and BBC.![]()
1. Some kind of British accent (I don't know the difference between them).

Yeah, we have pubs literally everywhere in England. Like literally within every mile there is a pub somewhere. I hear pubs don't exist in America. Is this true? I dont drink and I often think I'm much better suited to the US if they dont drink as much!!
We have pubs here, although I guess the term is interchangeable with "bar." They're still very much used as afterparty locales, and some go "bar-hopping" just to check out the scene. It's usually not an everyday thing, though, usually it's a weekend thing you do with your friends.Yeah, we have pubs literally everywhere in England. !But honestly, now that your question forced me to think about it, what makes a pub a pub rather than just a bar?
I bet you would hate a Birmingham, British accent1. Some kind of British accent (I don't know the difference between them).

London is in the middle of a buliding boom right now. For some reason developers in the city have a obsession with building odd shaped buildings over the last deacade. Not to say that places like London or Barcelona are old stodgy towns, but the cities themselves have such history, that it's hard to ignore it. Everything in the US is still so new, and we think we're too cool to pay attention to our past yet.![]()
I prefer London as I like how diverse it is. Many parts of London are like mini towns within the larger city. Many parts of Paris are nice but you also got lots of areas that are ghetto hell holes as well.London is nice, but it certainly is not Paris, just saying

He's been close to being cast as James Bond (If Nolan really ends up directing one, could Cavill maybe be in the lead?).
