That figure is a widely quoted figure so must be true. Snyder quoted in an Empire interview and Mark Twight has also quoted it.@hafizbat Cavill was not anywhere near 3% body-fat for his shirtless scene. Aside from that being near death, top bodybuilders who literally dehydrate themselves for days before competitions only usually get down to around 5% bodyfat minimum.
He was probably around 10% in that scene which is more than fine.
Of course even in that scene that wasn't a totally accurate representation of his "resting weight". For shirtless scenes actors get a "pump on" i.e lift heavy weights in short reps right before to engorge the muscles and help to exaggerate that "pumped-up" look.
And he had already achieved 5%-6% for Immortals and that was also very widely reported. Plus many body-builders routinely get to 3% for contests. It is genetics and your body type. So people need to go that low for the abs to pop, some people have good definition even at 8%.
But Cavill looked hella cut. You could see striations in the shoulder, his iliac furrow ( or athlete's girdle, or Apollo's Belt or Adonis belt), his abs really popped and he wasn't even flexing and he had a general fat free appearance, even the biceps and delts look extremely cut. Its Gym Jones we are talking about. I think the 3% claim is legit.
Other actors said to have achieved 3% body fat for their roles are Stallone for Rock IV and Gerard Butler for 300. Again I would like to believe in the case for Butler because his abs were so deeply defined, so stunningly shaped, you could get them to be so sculpted only if you had no fat on your belly.

Henry was jacked, but he didn't look to be at an unhealthy body fat percentage.
