Henry Cavill IS Superman: - Part 8

Perhaps Cavill was using a Kryptonian accent? Did he pronounce the ton sound as tin?

If Cavill was not able to hide his English accent, and had any trouble passing for Midwestern USA accent, then he would not have been hired for the role of Superman in the first place.

Oh WHATEVER!! You know good and well you would be all prim and proper when you first meet him, then something just wells up inside of you, to the point where you can't take it anymore. Then all of a sudden you start blushing because your blood pressure is rising, until finally....BAM....you squeal like a little school girl. Then you will begin to speak gibberish and mixed in that gibberish you will say "EH MA GAWD you are so HAWT....Will you marry me?" I guarantee it, you are actually going to propose to the man. :hehe:

:funny:

Your probably right. Maybe not to that extent, but I'd probably be flushed, flustered, laugh way too much at every small joke he made, find excuses to touch his arm, and ask him nervously at the end of the interview how long he was in town and if he wanted to go out for a drink sometime :p

And then go home and cry and eat ice cream when he very respectfully declined because he would be too busy :hehe:

That is a fantastic video and shows (I hope) the true nature of the man. Really refreshing to see someone so humble and caring of their fans.

This makes me believe even more that this generation are going to get their own "Christopher Reeve" type of Superman, as he was similarly humble and grateful for his opportunity to play the Man of Steel.

Exactly what I thought, but I didn't want to get too ahead of myself :)

Agreed, they're totally different. To the point that some English people can't understand us, or the Scottish accents, etc.

I think the generic 'accent' most people identify with England is the slightly elevated Hugh Grant type accent. In reality, most of them don't talk like that.

When I think of an American accent, I probably think of something like George Bush's - but that's a bit of a texas drawl and again not indicative of how most of them speak.

Very very true.

I'm from Somerset. Somerset people say I sound posh. Other people have asked me if I'm Irish, Australian or American... All I can tell them is that I watch too much TV.

And yet some people (particularly scousers or mancs) think I have a REALLY thick Somerset drawl.

So who knows! :D

So, you are saying a movie set in Greek mythology, the main character of the movie (Henry Cavill) is speaking with a british accent through the whole movie??????????
Uh...yes? Exchange "British" for "English" and that's exactly what I'm saying. I saw the movie twice by the way, and watched plenty of his interviews. He was just speaking with his natural accent in the movie. And as for the "Greek Mythology using English accents" comment, I'll go a step further and say most other movies set in Greek mythology also use English accents. The English accent is the generic "from another time and place" accent in movies.

The last time I was in New York, a lot of the shop assistants thought I had a lovely and posh English accent.
I do not sound posh, just an ordinary South East of England type.
But it got me better service... Can't wait to go back again.

Got some nice photographs of the Daily Planet too.

I don't know why Director was so adamant it wasn't, I've watched four seasons on the Tudors and it wasn't much different to that if it all.

I will say his accent in Immortals sounds more focused in some ways, his character in the film is very much intent on killing Hyperion and he's hurting so there's a difference in that respect.

Who said it was done?

**runs away in fear**

lol; well I don't think I said it was done. I think I just posted that Supermanhomepage said that filming is scheduled to be completed sometime this week.

I'll give you a head start.

Yes, Henry stated in a couple different interviews that if his acting career did not go as planned, thats where he would be as-well, the Armed Forces.

Actually, as he is such a likeable person, I have thusly decided to now hate him on general principle... :hehe:

It's okay. He'll understand. He's a nice guy like that :p

Cavill is the kind of guy who has a goody two shoes public image, but he is one of those dude who can get crazy when hanging out.

Last time I hung out with him, the first thing we did was hit the hottest club in town, dressed like a couple pimps.

He pulled out his magic little party vial and we skied a few Colombian lines at the bar before picking up 4 smoking hot chicks. We left in a Limousine and got back to a hotel where we proceeded to get drunk, had an orgy, and then threw some stuff off the rooftop and balcony.

The next day we woke up somewhere in Puerto Vallarta Mexico with a six strange women, a bad headache and a dead Thai Ladyboy hooker in the trunk of a pimped out rental car. It was all cool though because he called some of his people to clean up the mess. Hollywood takes care if its boys apparently.

The rest of the day we went ocean fishing, worked on our tans, with a bunch of hot naked chicks served us as the crew.

We’re doing it again next weekend, you should be there Bro.

I remember the first time I saw this, thinking 'Now there's a guy i'd actually hang out with.'

He's intelligent, charming and has class, but that doesn't mean he's not a very real and pretty cool dude underneath the polite 'goody two shoes' exterior.
