Batman/Bruce at his parents grave with his cape flowing in the wind.

The End.

This x 1000. I think would be the absolute perfect ending to Nolan's trilogy.

Never thought of that but I guess it could be depending how it's shot. At the very least I'd love to see the grave scene at one point in the movie, I just think it would be powerful as the final shot.

He never said anything about the cape blowing away. Just the cape flowing in the wind at the grave, still attached to Batman.

And I think him leaving the cowl on Thomas's grave would make it a bit... Obvious to any passers by who Batman is.

Lol, although I always found it odd that only in the comic movie genre is this frowned upon. Deniro & Pesci made 3 classics together, in more or less the same type of roles. For my money, Christan Bale wouldn't have made a half bad Punisher either

It ends with Bruce trying to shove Selina into an ATM by using a handgun, when the GCPD spot him. He flees to Wayne Enterprises where he barricades himself in his office and makes a call to Gordon. Confessing to Gordon that he is in fact Batman and is responsible for the arrests and deaths of many criminals in Gotham (he may have ate a few). The next day Bruce heads to the MCU and confronts Gordon. Gordon laughs it off as a joke thinking Bruce is someone else, saying hes too much of a coward to be Batman. The final scene is Bruce sitting the batcave in his batman suit giving a monologue about not having anymore barriers to cross.. THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

I think they were jumping off the GCPD Roof? All the Schumacher-Batmen did that at some point, jumping off tall buildings in a single bound. That's how I figured it way back when silliness actually made sense in my world. Now it just scares me. But did you guys notice Clooney's head wiggling in slow-mo? Funny stuff, that.

One thing about Nolan movies is that most of his endings leave the audience with more questions to be answered. Now, in my opinion, the only film he did that did not end in that way was Batman Begins. BB left the audience more thirsty so to speak.

I would be fine if Nolan left the audience wondering if The Batman is alive or not. I would also be fine with a "happy" and inspiring ending that ties up the loose ends. We shall see how it ends but I'm sure he will want to make this film end in a fantastic way that will leave us pleased; cementing his Dark Knight trilogy.
