Alright, Dafoe is there. Where's Mera?

You know, when I said awhile back that I had hope that we'd get some photos to show that they were filming things in real locations....this isn't what I had in mind; namely when filming had come to a wrap.lol

I'm pretty sure this is the town we saw in the trailer. I doubt we will see the heros in their costumes.

I don't want things to be cheesy, but I don't need everything to be super-duper-hyper realistic either. I mean yeah, so if a magical island is too much for you ... what about Zeus creating female warriors then? How do you make that "realistic"?

I'm thinking that is the story that Diana was told but she was actually procreated normally by a guy called Zeus and Hypolit which may be in the comics some where.
I think the less magic the better because i detracts from the world building scifi feel we have now.

I think it's very likely that Zeus and Hippolyta biologically conceived Diana like in the New 52.

But I think the DCEU should embrace magic. Epic mythology and supernatural elements are as much a part of DC's canon as space opera sci-fi, both have an equal place in the mythic atmosphere of the DCEU. You can do magic but still have it grounded. And I think Zack is the right guy to tackle those kinds of Supernatural elements.

I know this is off topic but can someone tell me the logic behind creating this Krypton show? I mean, whats supposed to be the appeal if this takes place before Jor-El was even born? That's like if Gotham was about Jim Gordon's father.

I feel like a show about a younger Jor-El and his friendship/ fallout with Zod would be a brilliant, no brainer idea for a show. Why not go with that?

Funny up until Doctor Strange, magic in MCU movies was described as just "advanced science humans don't understand".

The DCEU is also getting a John Constantine led JL Dark sometime in the future that I feel will heavily feature straight up magic/occult stuff.

I think it's the same concept as Gotham, which is fairly successful on Fox. But is also DC trying not to redo Smallville. You got Superman's grandpa as the young Gordon character. And you will probably see him encounter future Superman villains like Brainiac, Zod's grandparents, or Mongol. Maybe even have some aliens show up like the Thanagarians, Martians, and Green Lantern Corps.

Yeah but with Gotham, its pretty much the origin and rise of all of Batman's supporting cast and villains. You have tons of familiar characters. Krypton's timeline is so far removed that there'll be little to no familar characters or elements that they can bring in to anchor the show. That's why I said why not do a show about young adult Jor-El, that way you can bring in Lara, Zod and his gang, Braniac, Kara Zor-El's family etc.

Forgot to mention I don't really think it's that great of an idea either, but I do think that they're trying to go that Gotham angle

Hey, there's some Arthur Curry stuff on the HTML elements of the ARGUS website.

Y'all are thinking too small

Kyrpton doesn't nor shouldn't be Superman's Gotham. It should be Sci-Fi Game of Thrones on Krypton.

Yeah, that's one of the issues I have with Gotham in that I'll never get to the characters I actually care about, at least not fully. That is greatly exaggerated with Krypton. I'm rooting for it, but I have no confidence in it.
