I'm not sure it is too late - Suicide Squad didn't give us an origin for The Joker, after all.
I think Zack's out of any primary duties for the DCEU after Justice League. Whether it's a hit or not.

Maybe he'll have a close ear to Ben. Who knows.

I think he could still come back later on, though I do think he is going to take a break.

One would hope he takes on a job favreau type role but he'll probably direct another 20 DC movies I'm sure

The universe is too big for one voice to dictate above all. I appreciate what Zack brought to the table, but he's already had a far bigger impact on a singular universe than most CBM directors have had. It's time for other creatives to put their stamp on this vast world.

True, true, but....Zack would give us a more cb accurate Joker tho with Wilkinson too. No tatts believe that. But I do like Leto's joker. Eh.

The murder scene was fine. I don't love it, I don't hate it. I think I prefer Nolan's version overall. It's more complete, it plays out like an actual scene.

I'm not a huge fan of the way the opening credits of BvS were handled in general, but it is what it is.

Just to point out, that scene ia not meant to be an actual depiction of events but the way a 45 year old Bruce Wayne has contorted it in his mind over the last 30 odd years.
It's distinctly meant to be a little dreamy as it's what Bruce sees when he sleeps.
Snyder deliberately wants you to ask, why does Bruce remember it this way?

I want different characters movies to feel different. I wouldn't mind zack sticking around but it would need to be for only one thing. Like he does only the justice league team up movies or the movies for one character.

I don't trust anyone else to do MoS2 and make Braniac a credible source of conflict to drive Clark forward than Snyder.

JJ = safe and bland
Miller = safe

I dunno, I'm outta options. Ayer with a good script might be OK with try Snyder as exec producer

Don't necessarily need to pick from well established directors, there's plenty of up and comers out there.

Recently we had Colin Trevorrow make the jump from a smaller indie movie to mega-hit Jurassic World, and now he's in line to direct a Star Wars movie.

I would hnnngh for a Reeves Superman directed film tho.

Well, I was talking not about narrative value/quality of that scene, but visual aesthetic. Since people were discussing BTAS-inspired Gotham.

I'd love to see Wilkinson's take on the Joker. Oh well. :( I hope Leto drops out so they re-introduce Joker in the future. Though the chance is small with BO like that.

Yeah maybe there's soms hidden talent around, that'd be alright. Still would love Zack influencing ths full slate as some sort of Directorial advisor at a minimum.

I'm interested in that 300 inspired George Washington Revolutionary war movie Zack was talking about a while ago.

Id rather he do that than a JL 2, or even that Ayn Rand Fountainhead adaptation he wanted to do.

I love the childishness of attacking much better directors to prop up Zack Snyder. It never gets less funny or old.

Furthermore you don't get to decide anything WB does. If we actually get to another solo Superman film I'd be very surprised if Snyder were the director. I can't entirely put anything pass WB but after Superman being by far the weakest part of a Batman and Superman movie I'd think WB would at least figure out that Snyder is the problem not the Superman character or the actor.

Snyder should do Mortal Kombat. It's absolutely perfect for him:
1) Fight, don't talk;
2) Gore;
3) Requires physically perfect people, who can do a million push ups, acting isn't required much;
4) Intelligence level is approachable for Zack.
Seriously, I'd love to watch that.

Zack already made his stamp in DCEU. His designs, ideas - for better or worse - something future film makers will be dealing with. I don't need yet another Snyder movie after JL.

George Miller (or Matt Reeves) and Alfonso Cuáron would be my top choices or MoS 2 and Green Lanterns Corps, respectively. Brad Bird (or James Gunn) for Shazam and Neill Blomkamp for Cyborg.

Wha? Mortal Kombat is like Game of Thrones level complicated.

Complicated - possible (like almost any fantasy setting, for that matter), intelligent - no. More of that, it's not what brought popularity to the franchise. It was, surprise - blood and punching. And a bit later - a super-primitive movie about punching, making friends and defeating evil.

James Wan should totally approach Snyder using word "cool": "Hey Zack, I've got this very COOL idea you're totally gonna like!"

Ha, awesome. What a travel brochure! I've been going on about the great potential locations this film can take advantage of, and that brochure will look even crazier if we get GL/MM down the line.

It is great to have a variety of top people inputting but this would be less of a concern if Zack had nailed these films and there was a less divided reception to them. For eg there weren't too many objections when the Russos were given first Civil War and then the next 2 Avengers films after doing well on TWS. But yes beyond that I want to see multiple competent directors having a chance to put their hallmark on these cinematic universes.
