The point is, they are working and focused on that, not a fictional Nolan & Bale Justice League film.

I know they aren't working on a Nolan and Bale JL. I've doubted that for a while. JL itself, though? That's another story.

Exactly. It's undoubtedly hit a bump in the road because Nolan and Bale are probably not going to give them what they wanted.

Taking longer because they have to take a different road. The car hasn't crashed.

If nothing official is announced for JL in 2015 after MoS or Comic-Con, I'm pulling Justice League off of my signature. If that is the case, then hopefully another DC movie is in its place for 2015.

WB need some long term plans,

I am sure that the next thing for DC movies will be a MOS 2 in 2016, followed by a Batman reboot in 2017.

And a Justice League / Worlds Finest movie in 2018.

The problem would be introducing a Batman in a world where various Superheroes and Super Villains exist, something which hasn't been done so far.

WB should also look at other DC properties, why not ? If that can adapt Young Adult Novels, adapting different comics based material is not that different.

After all, DC comics also can serve as a basis of making movies, something that many other Studios have been doing.

I think WB needs to stick with the sci fi genre right now for major spectacle blockbusters. They have good talent with Gravity, Pacific Rim, and Interstellar. Best to sell those as potential new franchises for the public, should the film makers and studio pursue that avenue.

As far as JL, with Batman, GL, WW, that stuff isn't going anywhere any time soon. How about a definitive Batman trilogy (check) and a Superman trilogy (hopefully a check by 2019) to be enjoyed for generations to come, and then when the time is right, we can reboot the DCCU? That to me makes sense than rushing some crap reboot with marginal talent attached just to make a summer tentpole.

I think WB just needs to mix and match for a decade, because there is going to be a box office lull here for some time. Very hit and miss. Hobbit and Potter are done. Just move on with your lives and try a hand with something else. I think they are more than capable as a studio.

@Showtime: Any chance they will be fast tracking a MoS sequel into a loaded summer 2015?

WB really do need a long term plan. As many on this board will remember, How long have we been promised BIG announcements were coming regarding DC movies?? YEARS!! ANd we never get that announcement. NEVER. Look, I realize WB is not in the business to ONLY make superhero films. I get it, but they are a business and must realize what a goldmine DC is if done right. I really let myself beleive they would get it together and formulate a real plan after the Avengers mega success. I MUST accept they cannot do this.

I think that WB has been planning a Flash and WW movie for some time, hope that they do move forward in that direction.

Everyone needs time off in my opinion. Man Of Steel just started. Let Snyder get this thing going. Do 2 or 3 movies with the character. Let Nolan do his film Interstellar. Let Goyer direct his first film. Develop some ideas for a modern/badass origin story for both Flash and Wonder Woman. Let Bale have a break from Batman. Let him lose the weight he's gained & let the guy do more projects like Moses, Everest, etc.

Then go back to talking with Nolan/Goyer. Nolans the type of guy who has a one-track mind. After TDK he didn't wanna hear about it, he was all about Inception. When that was released, he was fresh for another Batman.

Cavill's Superman will be well established on his own by the end of the decade. Somewhere between 2015 and 2018/19. You don't have to rush out a Batman reboot during this time, there's decades to come with new interpretations...and quite frankly there's not many original ideas left, so spread it out. Do the Bat reboot next decade when everything else in the DC universe is done with and WB needs a franchise. I wanna be older, taking my kids to watch a fresh take on Batman for their generation, and the only way that could happen is if they spread them out. Arkham Asylum, Batman Beyond, etc.

After MOS 2 or 3, after Nolans sci-fi movie...try again with the offers. WF or JL. Like I said before, have it take place several years after TDKR. The character & actor (Bale) would be in his mid-40s. Alfreds dead. Lucius is dead. A new Green Lantern has debuted in Flash's movie. Diana has been discovered through her own film. Blake is retired or dead after putting in several years and Bruce returns to form the league.

Right now. Nolan and Bale is just wishful thinking.

A reboot from 2016-2020 is the most realistic scenario.

I don't like it. To me, it's even more perfect to give Nolan a break then try again. Batman doesn't have to be rebooted for another 10 years in my opinion. Spread that **** out so it can be a franchise for further generations, with constant fresh ideas.

It's even cooler to think of a TDK trilogy under Bale/Nolan's belt, with a MOS trilogy under Cavill/Snyder's belt...then you have 2 experienced Batman and Superman's forming a Justice League. In 5 years time the MOS trilogy is over, Bale is only 44 years old (which is nothing when u look at RDJ/Daniel Craig) and Cavill is 35.

Remember, negotiations are not dead in the water with Nolan and WB. It's also not one-sided. It's on both ends. At this moment in time, and for the next while, it's an idea thrown on the shelf. Elmayimbe never mentioned a batman reboot. That's why I say let Nolan do Interstellar, and just like after Inception, he'll be more open-minded. If not..then ur forced to do a Bat reboot, so go ahead. Ill be first in line for that. But I don't think it's necessary this decade. Not if there's a chance to take a breather and go at it again with some deals for Nolan.

It's WB that are tugging him over things. They want him to continue his TDKT, which he seems reluctant to do.

I just can't see it happening. They'll have other ideas anyway soon enough. They have no other choice lol

Nolan didn't want anything to do with a sequel to each Batman movie after the fact cuz he was all about Prestige then Inception. WB has a lot of time and a lot of other characters to do things with. To be honest, its only select people on these boards that want another Batman movie quick. The general audience matters more. They don't care about seeing another batman movie, especially not one outside of Bale/Nolan. They need time. More time than 5 years like Amazing Spider-Man.

You also have the idea of using Bale in a different universe minus Nolan. Why would Nolan not want that? That's not up to him. If Bale is down then great. Not saying he is, but cmon. They don't care enough about JL obviously cuz they don't know what to do with it. If they don't have Nolan they feel helpless and keep putting it on the shelf. So get Bale and Cavill for a Worlds Finest and shut up WB. Even if Nolan is out.

Hey, if Bale wont work with anyone other than Nolan, then OK that's another story. But u don't have to get Nolans permission on everything. The negotiations shouldn't be with Nolan first and foremost, they should have been with Bale.

But the way he probably sees things is like expanding his other movies. Would he want to make sequels to Insomnia or Inception when he ended them in the way he thought perfect?

It would be like writing further Bible stories. Jesus lived and died to bring a message. He returned to Heaven after resurrecting. ....then somebody comes along and wants to make you write Jesus coming back to have further adventures on Earth. Ignoring what's been done for profit. ......that's my crazy way of seeing it

All I really want to see is more DC goodness than just MOS every three years. Maybe JL takes longer. Maybe Dark Universe happens, or whatever. Even a Batman reboot. I don't even need a shared universe per se, although I think that would be incredible. I'm glad the Nolan series is over. I'd have been ok with them continuing down that road, but my preference would be that they BRING ON THE BATGOD!!!! We just all have to take a deep breath and realize that all the complaining in the world won't change a thing.

Haha, now that ive said it out loud, it actually seems like a great idea. Im still ALWAYS going to want Bale/Cavill, even as a World's Finest without a JL. That's my #1 preference. Im still gonna make a teaser trailer out of it lol, ill never let go t:. But if they do the reboot/JL in that order, I guess im down for it.

There was no bump in the road, Nolan and Bale were never going to do Justice League as a team.

Studio loves the buzz they are getting for Man Of Steel, loves the film, and they want to make another one asap. Whether that is 2015 or 2016 I don't know. Again, not saying they don't want a team up movie, but guys, stop believing everything you hear and use some logic.

They loved the latest Flash script from a couple years ago.

Warner Bros is no longer in a rush. They want to get these characters right. They are not going to rush into a team up if it doesn't fit. If they get a good script and good story, sure they'll run with it asap because they need big films. Everybody is all antsy because of what Marvel is doing, they aren't Marvel. They are going to do big things, just not when you want it.
