Which was apparently pulled from Toys'R'Us

this seems to better match the Rex we'v seen so far, and the details of the poster images.

It's umm interesting, I knew it wouldn't be the classic but it needs to have more elements closeted to it

Though I'm glad it seems more of a Pacific rim influence than a bay former one

Also, you guys notice they kept the glass face from the art? Same thing with the Zords it seems. Which leads me to believe they're keeping the blueprints from the concept art which might mean full-bodied Zordon? possibly?

Just as long as we don't see a nude alien version of Doctor Manhatten in a Bacta Tank.

That concept art creeps me out a bit.

Not sure I see it.

Yeah, also not getting the Pacific Rim/steampunk vibe.
I just now realized those zords sort of remind me of color-swapped Dinozaurs.

The only reason that it resembles Pacific Rim more than Bayformers, is that you can't get that insane little detail into those toys, so details are smoothed out. Not exactly surprised with how it turned out.

From the official Power Rangers Twitter:

Interactive #PowerRangersMovie Megazord with expandable wings, battle sounds, LED effects + all 5 Rangers. ⚡️ Stay tuned for pre-sale dates!

So that's the Megazord which is lacking serious paint and barely passes as a robot.

MUCH BETTER!! i like it. The Head looks super alien. Very cool!

edit: reminds me of Dragonball Freeza somehow^^

the feet are strange. Liked them better in the other unoffical picture.
and still a little bit to gray but nothing they will change now so i wont complain.

I didn't want blocky but I really hate this "anorexic" trend in mech design. It looks like it would be ripped in half at the waist easily. I wanted it to be sturdy/ solid like the old one.

Those big flat feet thing are a bit odd but apart from that I like it and its got wings!

Was not expecting it to be aerodynamic nor having chain mail.

Its totally meant to be robotic alien tech reptile skin....hmm sounds familiar :D

Megazord looks awful. Is that the best they could come up with?:lmao:

I'm really confused by this design and all. Where's the Mastodon and Triceratops etc?

I feel like its going to morph together more so than click together which means we will probably lose the obvious signs of each individual Zord.

Triceratops = feet
Mastadon = knees & holster, most definitely the shield

I sort of like this sleeker one more than the $100 Voltron

That figure doesn't look like 5 robots combined into one. It looks way too humanoid. And also chain mail? Like really? It seems like there's already a robot and the Zords just attach themselves to it for armour. Like a knight. Disappointing. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I expected a redesign. That was a given but Jesus. For the record, I always welcome new interpretations and designs only if they do something interesting with it. The megazord is the definition of change just for the sake of it. Lawd have mercy. I was expecting something along the lines of Pavific Rim but got Digimon instead.

This falls in the wheelhouse of making the Foot clan mercenaries with guns.

Like Teekay said, this looks like the Zords are just armor on a Naked figure.

I'm guessing they compartmentalized the Megazord on the biceps, torso, and thighs for the ranger figures.

Yeah like they probably just deconstruct and attach to that body which seems a little pointless, and definitely not as cool..

I'm thinking that they "morph" (heh) into that form. Thinking along the lines of the T-1000. This has to be a way of cutting costs. It's a guy with bits and pieces glued on.

At this point, the characters are about the only reason I am keeping an interest in this. The aesthetics of this is just terrible, and way too try hard.

No, it's likley the individual zords still become the body, as always.
They just cheat them away morphing them into eachother using CG to smooth out the body of the
final Megazord look.

Which I agree kind of defeats the purpose.
But since it's all meant to be alien-biomechanical/organic morphing, the parts and colors probly morph and chameleon into each other.
Which they can pull off with CG.

Just the toy requires two phases.

The classic combining Zord toy at the top of the page reflects what it looks like before the CG morph together cheat.
The solid action figure version is what it'll likely looks as all pulled together and CG smoothed out and morphed together.

For the record not saying I'm crazy about it just recognizing what it likely is.
