Actually... I wouldn't put it past most 22 year olds to lovelorningly mope. I should know... I am one.

That doesn't mean I want to watch it every week on Smallville. Doesn't make for enjoyable TV drama. Plus, they've been doing it long enough. Move on.

Are you........... insane, other superheroes shouldn't become permanant cast memeber of another superhero origin show. It takes a huge spotlight away from clark, and has to divide it with another hero.

I agree. I love Green Arrow/Oliver and I would totally watch a JL or Green Arrow Series but I am not too keen on him becoming full time cast member of Smallville.

Now if they wanted to just transition Smallville into a JL show ok but then they have to wait until Clark becomes superman... Maybe not costume/cape but at least acknowledge to himself who/what he is.

as for Davis bloome

i still think if done right it can be quite intresting story arch

maybe 1st they show davis bloome brutally beating some guy with his bare knuckles and he relaizes he likes voilence

and slowly he develops more violent behaviour and he finds out that he is from krypton too and he was a kryptonian experiment which went wrong

something like that can be intresting storyline again it depends if they sign good actor

So Im guessing you hated Kara in season 7?

I got no problem with they do decide to bring OQ back for 7 or so episodes. They mention him basically every episode, even to get out an issue(Chole flying to Montreal using his never before seen jet) so by having him would make a little bit more sense. He helps bring out the superhero part that Clark so desperately needs. Hell the Queens are much as part of the Smallville mythology as the Luthors.

I don't think theres an age where you stop being upset about someone you love leaving. but i imagine he'll have more pressing things to take care of. I'm glad Kara is gone though, I'm not really sure why she was there other than to maybe provide a spinoff for the producers. The actress was a bit weak. She looked the part though.

Apparently Craig has implied that the CW did not want Allison back and that the Smallville ptb had to fight for it. I guess some others are also saying it's true, that the network didn't think she would hold up as a lead actress. Interesting.

smallville is type of show if done right it can do wonders for example Descent (which to me was perfecly done episode on TV and with very good writing, from lionel's death scene to last clark and lex's stardeown scen)

If thats what next season is going to be, complete with Chloe still doing everything that Clark himself can do, then I'd rather not watch. Unless of course Lois is in every episode, then it might lessen whatever Chlark interaction they throw at us, still. *sigh*

Wait, just since I am trying to figure out what is going on Im a fanboy?

I thought the CW had a big say in whose staying whose going. Now with Smallville lobbying for the CW to change their minds means they have big plans for her. Which also leads me to believe of why she took so long to sign. CW said no. Smallville said yes. CW said fine. Chloe and her agent upped her contract demands realizing how Smallvile really wanted her back. Smallville got caught with their pants down. Bye bye Kara and more special effect as budget cuts.

Personally I like Chloe, I just don't want her to be around Clark 24/7. I got no problem with her helping Clark over the years, but their at a point where it makes Clark look stupid.

The people at the CW don't really care about the show, as someone's already said (I'm not gonna search around for the quote but I can remember it for the most part) Dawn Ostroff has pretty much said they're going to milk the show for as long as possible, despite the quality of it when it does end.

As with any other property that gets ruined by poor planning/decision making.
On the one hand you will have the creative types laying out their vision.

Then on the other hand you will have the studio corporate exec types--A) telling them to change this and that. B) That there is only money for this so drop that. C)You have to put this actor/actress in this ep with this many lines. D)This episode has to have x amount of shots of these cel phones or take place within a gum factory, etc. etc.

They may not set out to ruin their own show but it is just a natural progression when too many people either get involved in the process or the right people don't get involved/fight enough in the process.

I am hoping for the best though and that we will see a worthy ending to this chapter of Superman's life and get a breif glimpse at his future in that final episode. I am also hoping they realize that this has to be the last season given the finite nature of this chapter in Clark's journey and write Season 8 as such from the beginning. That is the key IMO, going into Season 8 as if it is the last (whether they officially say so or not) storywise.

That way if they want to drag it out for another season, whatever plot device can be thrown in at the end. Instead of vice versa writing the season to loose and having to wrangle it all back in at the end if they do make that call that it's over.

The show will definitely end when Tom Welling decides he's not signing a contract for Season 9, is up to him really, there's nothing the CW can do. I rather think he wants to move on to other things, like Michael Rosenbaum and Kristin Kreuk are doing.

the problem is that I have felt this way since the premier of season two. I don't think the finale will be as awe inspiring was the show has promised over the last 7 years of build up.

I don't see Clark as stupid but the writers do make him seem to rely on Chloe way too much just to give Chloe something to do.. shes 'exposition gal' or something to that effect. I don't know why they need to bring her back? Nothing she says or does changes how the show ends... she doesn't affect Clark becoming Superman, Lois becoming a great reporter at the DP, etc, but she is affecting Clark's reporter side by doing everything that he should know to do himself, researching, etc.. then again these are the same writers who had Clark say Chloe is smarter than he and Kara put together...

Oh and I don't think it was the same people who were upset about her leaving, that are now upset about her staying.. Im just tired of the usual "they wanted her back because Chlois is endgame" schpeal LOL
