Why?
What would be the point? Earle was a relatively pointless cliche of a character who served to create some minor, easily overcomable conflict for Bruce Wayne and Wayne Enterprises. He was an evil 80's villain, the kind you find in Adam Sandler movies. What would be the point of bringing him back now?
Any reason anyone has come up for bringing him back would be better filled with an actual character from the comics.
That would be interesting! While Batman is struggling to save himself and being hunted, Wayne Enterprises could be struggling to survive in a legal battle over corporate control. Added pressure on Batman. Maybe Mr. Earle works with Reese. Ah the possibilities.

Yeah Earl wasn't that great, he was just a plot point rather see Reese.
