The Dark Knight Rises New Batmobile

I can imagine a really cool scene in The Dark Knight Rises where Fox surprises Bruce with a new Batmobile.
say they're on their way to the "applied sciences" department.
Fox : "I figured your "friend" could use a new means of transportation seeing as how he sacrificed the last one. As you know we had another tumbler lying around. So I drew up some specs for it to . . modify it to better suit his style."
Fox smiles and flips a light switch revealing a sleeker tumbler with more of a bat motif to it.
Bruce has a look of awe to which he turns to Fox they both smile at each other.
Fox: "And yes, Mr Wayne." Fox gives his smile and half wink "It comes in black."

that would be pretty cool...

It was a fast closing garage door

This was explained in the comic adaptation. If you re-watch the scene it looks like they went right through a tree or a mountain wall. You have to disguise the entrance of the Batcave somehow.

I think his Bruce Wayne is hammy and he tries too hard as Batman. I'm a tad disappointed in Bale since he seemed so perfect back in 2005.

Gotta agree, the over exaggerated mouth movements he pulls, the voice... I dunno his Batman doesn't come across as natural to me. The only time he's really seemed at ease in the suit is during the "rattle the cages" and "storm is coming" scenes in Begins. I liked his performance as a whole in Begins but in TDK all the passion he seemed to have during Begins was strangely absent. IMO of course.

Fox: Seeing as you took a spill, I thought you might need a new ride.
Bruce: What is this?
Fox: A submarine, Mr. Wayne.

I always thought Bale's Batman was too "over the top" for a realistic approach. However his Bruce Wayne is spot on.

I'd like that, equal humour and purpose. Plus anything that gets Morgan Freeman more time on screen is worth it!!!

somewhere i remember that fox said to wayne they got 3 tumblers

so , no change :woot:

If he owns Wayne Enterprise, wouldn't he just have the one he drove fixed? Or have another of the same model in the garage?

If not, and they decide to make a Tumbler II but go smaller, incorporating the look of high end sports cars, I think the obvious choice of car to borrow from is the Buggatti Veyron

I quote from the movie "She was bridging as a bridging vehicle* During combat, two of these would jump over a river towing cable. Now over here on the throttle flip this open and throttle up and it will boost you up into rampless jump . . NOT NOW! Never could get the damn bridge to work. But this baby works just fine" :yay:
Never says three

I wish I knew what Nathan Crowley was thinking for the batmobile or tumbler whatever.

No thank you. Batman doesn't need a sports car. The Batmobile needs to look intimidating and be functional. There's no point to it looking like a sports car.

No thanks to a sports car look.

Agreed.

While I dont think the Tumbler has an iconic look, it's style grew on
me. it's not bad and it fits Nolan's style.

It all depends on peoples tastes and affinity to what has come so far. It's been shown that Bruce upgrades his equipment, so I doubt we'll have another Tumbler. But if you prefer The Dark Knight's practicality, then you'd want a car that is faster, to be faster it has to be smaller, more aerodynamic and closer to the ground. If you prefer Batman Begins theatricality a big car with a large weapons array to make up for the lessened speed would be more up your street. Personally, when it comes to the Batmobile, I prefer practicality over theatricality, and the opposite for the suit.

That's why he had the Lamborghini, the show off car. I don't think the Batmobile/Tumbler should be a commercial car. That makes it obtainable to others, keep as the ultimate custom car, a one off special nobody else can have!

Fox wouldn't say it like that now. He doesn't play ignorant to the fact that Bruce is Batman anymore :p

That is a beautiful car above!

If we're talking classic sports car batmobile i could very easily see something like this working very well. That front end just belongs on a batmobile. I could see the back end design working very well too. Not much I'd chande to it except the cockpit placement. Add some batfins bigger rear wheels and it's a winner.

Not my cup of tea.

I'm 99% confident that there will be a new Batmobile, and I'm really hoping it looks like an updated Tumbler.

No sports cars.

I agree no sports cars. I'm just saying that could make a nice "classic sports car batmoble" . S'all I'm sayin

It would be nice to get something that looks like the Tumbler but scaled down to the size of a car.

This must be the biggest challenge for the good people working for Nolan&Co.

Seriously, if you're going for a car or traditional Batmobile then how can you top Tim Burton's design?

And if you're going for a monster-like vehicle that's capable of doing just about anything then how can you top the Tumbler and it's design?

Part of me thinks Batman will use the Batpod to travel by ground and use a helicopter or a fighter aircraft to travel by air.
