There is definitely some hyperbole going on. According to some people he "brutally" murders thugs. Brutal murder would be torturing them, cutting off their limbs one at a time. He definitely kills, but he's not Hannibal ****ing Lecter.

If people are getting interested in Superman from seeing this film then that's awesome.

I am! Growing up I was never a Superman fan. Still have trouble getting into TAS, like it and JL. Overall, good Superman. Enjoyed Smallville, Tom Welling was good. Never cared for the original films... at all, sorry guys. Though it was no problem on Christopher Reeves, he was fine. After MoS and this, I LOVE Superman. Because of Henry Cavill & what Snyder brought, I think I finally found Superman.

Who here thought aquaman was gonna turn up with the spear where lois threw it? when i saw her throw it in the water i was like "oh yeeeaaa!! aquamans gonna show up" lol.

I thought that too but didn't make sense, cause I think that building is just basically flooded, there's no ocean. But I could be wrong

Okay. Second viewing finished!

One thing I noticed this time around was when Wallace was gearing up to go spray painting, there's a drawing or photo of Superman lifting a car ala Action Comics #1 on the wall in front of him with all the newspaper clippings.

Yeah, caught that on my first viewing freaking love it!

About the deleted scene. Very fascinating, hope it's Steppenwolf. Looks like his current design which I prefer. But I cannot help but think of the scenery and the title - "Communion". In MoS and in this with the ending, given the spear which I think is supposed to the lance of Longinus, I wonder what went into the religious symbolism and title of this particular scene. Snyder got me scratching my invisible beard.

Well, glad I'm not alone with processing the film similar way. There's much more to think about, that this guy didn't touch in his opinion, but calling this movie stupid and light on substance is pure nonsense.

Now with my friends having seen BvS, I can safely say every single one of my friends and my family all liked the movie. Even my mom and uncle, both of which who have never read the comic books in which the story of BvS connects to. In fact, they both loved it.

My brother and I have already seen it twice and we're planning on seeing it for a third time this weekend. I really cannot get enough of BvS, nor can I wait to see the Ultimate Edition.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. And I was thinking: Does Lex want to die? Or was he counting on Superman doing that?

This movie had the greatest opening to any Superhero movie bar none. The scene of Superman and Zod and going at it from Bruce's perspective was amazing. The destruction the music the sheer desperation of the humans trying to survive this surreal situation occurring. Not to mention the initial text leading us into the fight "the world is introduced to the Superman" I had goosebumps reading that. Oh how this movie could have been something grand, a true epic masterpiece. If you travelled back in time and spoke to the me in those moment and told me I would come out hating the movie, I would have looked at you like you was mad.

I hope more people see it, because it really breaks down what makes this film so philosophically powerful. It's a challenging experience to watch your two favorite heroes be so broken, but it makes the third act that much more uplifting. It's the entire reason why I can't get behind the "joyless" critiques. I felt so damn emotionally invigorated by the end.

Agreed! It was deep and powerful. He gets it, because this is truly the first CBM to inspire me.
