I usually stay away from this thread as I have nothing good to say, but Keith David being cast as Barricade is awesome. Barricade is by far the design I've b****ed about the least, and now he has a freakin' bad ass voice to match.

I agree. Keith David cast as a voice is inspired. He's bad-ass but not in a ghetto way. Just hear him narrate City Confidential (which he took over after Paul Whintrop died).

Just hear him voice goliath and Spawn. Keith David is an excellent voice actor. He'll definitely class up this Bay movie.

It's way too long of a wait until this movie comes out...i've been waiting for this one for 20 years....realistically for 2 years, and this last 3 months is going to be hell...

I'm saving room in my top 5 for it!!

Well, now I'm officially convinced that those are NOT the same Transformers I used to love in the 80's, BUT I'm pretty sold on the funability of the movie itself. I think it will be a hella nice ride and I'll even buy the DVD.

eh I wouldn't go that far. Of course I am biased but I think the only thing that could beat Spider-man 3 is PoTC3. Whatever happens it will be a great summer for movies.

I loved POTC2. Loved it. And the $1 billion+ ($1 billion plus!) that it made suggests that it rode on more than just the opening weekend surge (like most movies do).

As a middle-chapter, it was a bit convoluted and lost some of the charm of the first one.... but I expect the 3rd chapter puts it into context. I hope it doesn't take a Matrix downward turn.

To all those who say that Michael Bay is raping their childhood (yeah you HHHDan) after judging this movie from some toy concepts. Shame on you. This is awesome. I know lets give all the credit to Spielberg and ILM and it will all be Bay's fault if it stinks. This picture is just stunning.

That is indeed a great picture. I just wish the bad guy was a guy I actually cared about or remembered like Devastator or Shockwave or something.

Anyway, I just meant the bad guy in the picture has zero nostalgia value.
Would have been awesome to actually recognize and feel an affinity towards the baddie Optimus was fighting. I mean, I look at that picture and I imagine Shockwave with his one eye, and I just get tingles.

Optimus looks awesome tho.
