There are other options. Even in the case of the world itself they are giving up on the Jaeger option and just building a giant wall.
The dialogue and characters have had me worried. The trailers haven't really relieved those fears. The only thing concerning me about a few of the early reviews is the thing I was most worried about, bland or lame characters and not so good dialogue. I can deal with the dialogue if it's amusingly cheesy but the character thing? I haven't quite been seeing eye to eye with the critics this year so that gives me hope, that and there are only a handful of reviews so duh, I'll wait for more.
^Transformers 1 is still a great movie IMO, the sequels are poorer by some way. But, Bay isnt GDT, GDT is just an awesome director and I havent disliked a movie of his yet.
Add in GDT and Elba and it should be tracking much better than was a few weeks ago.
Is the movie still tracking badly? I cant believe it if so, the premise alone is amazing and should be pulling people in. Add in GDT and Elba and it should be tracking much better than was a few weeks ago.
I honestly have no idea how big Luther is to the general public.Del Toro and Elba have big online followings; not among the general public. Most people have no clue who they are.
Sometimes I don't think people online realize that Del Toro is not a James Cameron or Spielberg to the public, the man has literally never directed a film that has hit 150mil domestically even when you adjust the ticket prices. It goes without saying that Elba is not a big star, the movie has no big stars.Del Toro and Elba have big online followings; not among the general public. Most people have no clue who they are.

Don't forget Doctor Who. It has become quite big here.UK? Big.
Everywhere else, especially in the states? No awareness among "the normals."
Only UK show people here know here is Downtown Abbey.

Didn't the new series of Luthor just start over there?Elba has a big following in the UK, havent met a person yet who doesnt know who Elba is in the UK, Luthor was very successful here. Maybe the movie will do better internationally.
Del Toro isnt Nolan/Cameron/Spielberg big I know, but he is at least known, that should count for something.

I'd add the clips to that as well but clips are always awkwardly cut so who knows? The dialogue and characters have had me worried. The trailers haven't really relieved those fears.

Being Human has its fans, but it isn't a global entity like Doctor Who. They actually sell Doctor Who merch in more then a few stores. So has Being Human. I watched most of the UK version off TV here.
