Person Of Interest - Part 2

The show hasn't missed a beat since Taraji P Henson left the show. Yes, she's a good actress (when she was first cast as Carter, it was a pretty big score for the show as she was still fresh off her Oscar Nomination) but I think the writing was on the wall for her character when Shaw and Root were added.

It's understandable why she left as she wanted to do movies again on a full time basis. She probably had to turn down many film roles due to her schedule on the show. It's not like she's going to be desperate looking for work anyways.

Did she get the role of Carter because she's an Oscar Nominated Actress? Or did that not play any role in her casting?

On a drunken whim, me and some friends started watching "Ed" the other day. It's a baseball movie with Matt LeBlanc and a creepy fake chimpanzee. It's really bad, but I recommend watching the part with Jim Caviezel because he looks and sounds like a big goofy dork. It was nearly impossible for my brain to accept after being used to badass Jim for so many years.

It's streaming on Netflix. :o

At least we got confirmation that Hersh is still alive. Funny how Shaw went after her old contacts and got the better of them all.

Oh, and I thought Reese and Finch were going to see Bruce, Selina, and Alfred.

Up until the very end, I was expecting the female flight attendant to be bad. :p

:lmao:

Finch and Alfred are totally BFFs.

Totally thought the same! And I kept laughing everytime Reese knocked someone out :lmao:

Great episode,I love how they added more to Hersh's personality he seemed genuinly concerned for Shaw. His chara ter really seems to be progressing each episode he is in

[BLACKOUT]I thought either she was the final cartel member or that she was going to turn out to be the ISA agent, before the man showed up. I actually really liked that she was just a nice flight attendant. XD[/BLACKOUT]

I'm glad they added Root to the main credits it was a long time coming.

Classic Reese episode. He knocked out like 12 people. :awesome:

T'was good to see him back. The 'new suit' bit at the end was gold and it was funny to see how sort of awkward Reese and Finch still are around each other after all this time.

I know, right? :o

It was also nice seeing Reese getting chummy with the ladies again. :awesome:

I think flying a commercial plane remotely has been done on TV before.

Yeah I kept thinking the same thing.

POI continues to be a great series, but I still miss Carter. I keep expecting her to pop up and then she doesn't...:csad:

Early 90's action movie hijinks this week! :D Fun ep that served it's purpose as regards Reese and acted as a little light relief after all the heavy eps in a row.

I was surprised to see Hersh alive given he was blown up. I also don't recall Shaw's old agency being called The activity until this ep.

That was what I was hoping for, damn budget restrictions! :D

Me too, kinda nice that she wasn't and she eased Reese's troubles with a drink! :awesome:

The thing I really loved about this episode was the beginnin, the way the machine conducted everything around John, and how the machine's surveillance graphics are getting more important with very interesting pieces of information all over the screen.

Although Finch landing the plane was a little unrealistic -even for this show- I like when the storyline is focused on one place (like that episode where they had to stay in a building because of the rain... it was a very Agatha Christie episode, can't remember the name).

Anyway, the show is bursting with so many good ideas lately that I'm willing to forgive all the small, miniscule problems I have with it.

Any ideas why Reese wanted to go to Istanbul?

This was an episode right out of the Human Target playbook. Because of that, I expected that the stewardess was going to be a bad guy as well. It was actually the male flight attendant so they kept that idea from Human Target intact.

The plan for him to bring the plane down for the cartel guys made no sense, until I realized that they had parachutes. So they had those bases covered at least.

Loved the ending to the show. Reese had a little vacay in Rome and even had a date with the hot stewardess. And now its back to work.

Also was that the rude guy at the beginning he had the rough handshake with at the end? If so, that's hilarious. Another reason I really like this show. Little stuff like that. I also loved Reese's line of "the only relevant number was 130 people."

Also liked his line of "I need to get back to work." He had his downtime and his crisis of conscious. Now he's come around and ready to fight the good fight again.

Yep, that was the same guy. :woot: I also liked the "Hear that [clapping], Harold? That's for you" moment/line. It's nice to see Finch get the kudos once in a while.

I mean that's a good point. Ultimately the government is no longer controlling Finch's machine.

What if Decima can't control Samaritan/

I get the feeling that Decima wont be able to control the machine, they gave very strong hints that Samaritan had much stronger AI capabilities than Harold's machine (unlike Harold's machine which reboots every midnight and dumps its memories ,Samaritan keeps learning and finding new ways to live)

urghh next episode is Feb 4th
