In terms of focus and stories this has been the strongest season so far. This was a break from the main stories but it was still important because it got Reese back into the game. Plus we got fun stuff with Shaw and Hersh.

The direction has been pretty good this season too. And Shaw has been a great addition to the cast.

I get the feeling that Decima wont be able to control the machine, they gave very strong hints that Samaritan had much stronger AI capabilities than Harold's machine (unlike Harold's machine which reboots every midnight and dumps its memories ,Samaritan keeps learning and finding new ways to live)

The Machine found a way around that in a previous episode by creating a company which sole purpose was to re-enter all the previous information ( which were printed in hard copy ) into its memory.

Plus, CBS has to schedule around the NCAA Basketball Tournament. With POI now on Tuesdays, it won't be running on typical tournament days but CBS won't want to get too out of sync the rest of its programming and will schedule some reruns during March.

Looks like a stand alone ep but also looks a lot of fun to me.

I think the key to the show is to keep merging stand-alone episodes with the mythology they're building. This 3rd season is the best example of how to manage this.
They shouldn't go the full sci-fi, serialized series anytime soon.

Solid episode to show the band working together again on a regular case after their ordeal.

Nice nod to Carter at the end.

I'm a big fan of heist stuff and you could tell they had fun with this ep, I really enjoyed it. I thought I recognized Elaine Tan from something else but I haven't seen anything on her IMDB.
