Ooohhh... I sense chemistry in that 2nd pic. :awesome:

So, according to those who watched it on set, one of the finale episodes will see [BLACKOUT]the return of Dani Silva.[/BLACKOUT]

Also, looks like just about every recurring character we've seen this season are back (Floyd, Link, Dominic, Elias, Dani, Harper, Grice, and a few others) since they've all been seen filming within the last week. No mention or views of Control and Martine but surely they can't leave them out. It's going to be one packed season finale.

They've done this type of episode before where the CEO of a company gets hacked and his life gets exposed last year in "Nothing to Hide," although it seems as if Samaritan is involved this time around. Zoe is always a welcomed sight in POI since it's always a good episode when she shows up.

Also, it'd be nice if the show could get a couple episodes in a row heading down the home stretch to build some momentum. After next week's episode, they'll only have 4 episodes to spread out over about a 1.5 months, which means a lot of breaks between episodes.

Winnick's intro scene...

Root:''Its if we are not friends anymore, you been alive is enough''

the feels :(

"In two weeks..."

IN TWO ****ING WEEKS?! You just got back from a 2 week-plus break. Ugh. Enough of your bulls*** scheduling, CBS.

Good episode, though.

Yeah... I hate these breaks, too. It's ridiculous. They can go ahead and renew it now while we're waiting.

Wow, what another packed episode that's really setting up the final 4 episodes. Harold and Root's relationship is at best tenuous after all her emotional-fueled actions to stop Harold from getting on Samaritan's bad side, even if it meant gaining some type of advantage in the overall fight. Root showed the full extent of her emotional growth and tonight was showing the lengths she'd go to keep the team safe after Shaw's disappearance, even going against the Machine to do so.

The number of the week was even good, helped by them making Winnick's bounty hunter have more depth (mainly due to her being a bada** fighter who was more than able to hold her own and trick John) to her than the usual number and having her path cross with another past number, Harper. In the gunfight negotiating, you can tell that she's good at conning and being saavy in surviving any situation she's in. The big surprise came when Harper mentioned being contacted by Thornhill and one that makes me think she could become a Team Machine asset if the Brotherhood doesn't turn her first.

Also, had a feeling sooner or later that Iris would show her true feelings for John. Nice to see John has someone he can establish a relationship with outside of Team Machine.

They've been doing this with POI the last couple seasons since they're trying to stretch out the remaining 4 episodes over the next month so CBS can get all their shows' season finales to lineup in CBS at the same time in May. That's the problem when you have only 22 episodes and almost double that time in a normal TV season. We're just bound to have a lot of weeks off that seemingly kills any momentum. Only way to have limited breaks would be to start the show in like December or January but then they run the risk of losing viewers who find something else to watch in the meantime, which is what happened to Elementary on Thursday with football preempting it's start date.

From what I could find, here's the remaining schedule for POI. Looks like we only have to sit through 2 weeks of reruns or no episode:
3/31/15 - NO EPISODE
4/07/15 - S4 E19 - SEARCH AND DESTROY
4/14/15 - S4 E20 - TERRA INCOGNITA

4/21/15 - Repeat of S4 E3 - Wingman
4/28/15 - S4 E21 - ASYLUM
5/05/15 - S4 E22 - YHWH

I feel like airing stuff in blocks is preferable to airing one episode every 2-3 weeks. At a certain point, you've got to figure that people are just going to stop giving a crap about watching live and just wait for DVR.

So what's the word? Are we getting season five, or will this be it for the show?

Nothing yet either way. TV Line's Renewal Scorecard has it listed as a "Safe Bet" for renewal. So that's something, at least.

CBS has only had early renewals for 3 new dramas and 3 comedies so far. They tend to announce renewals in waves/batches. Late March/Early April is when I believe it'll be announced.

The writer of this past episode, Ashley Gable, posted a photo on Twitter showing the storyboard of the entire epiosde and it reveals 2 important things: Harper was originally supposed to be Zoe and that Root supposedly has the Trojan activation switch. With the team going up against Samaritan in the next episode, I feel that'll likely be when Root gets around to activating it, should Samaritan still be planning to use Beth's algorithm.

yes I think that due to Root having able to have multiple cover ID's ,she must feel she is in a better position to activate the Trojan and not get caught, where as Harold only has one cover ID (prof Whistler) and a far better chance of Samaritan tracking him down.

I totally agree, as do quite a few others on a couple different discussions about last night's episode. This would seem to be her way of protecting Harold like he's done for the rest of Team Machine the past several seasons.

Why The Hell Doesn't Person Of Interest Have An Emmy Yet?

And indeed, last night's episode had bravura performances by both Emerson and Amy Acker, as two friends who find themselves at odds. See for yourself in the clip above — it's heartbreaking and startling and clever, and emotionally grounded.

As Root carefully reminds the audience, when she and Harold first met, she kidnapped him and killed a couple of people, because she wanted to get access to the artificial intelligence he'd built, the Machine. But even back then, she was in awe of Harold, "the man who built God." And now, there's a second A.I., and in the course of the failed effort to prevent its creation and the fight against it, she and Harold have become friends. Root's even gotten a bit of a conscience.
