Person Of Interest - Part 2

Finally watched this week's ep and it was yet another great one.

I've never seen Vikings but I now know why people love the idea of Winnick for Captain Marvel. She's great. Nice to see Harper back too and it looks like she's unknowingly helping the Machine too.

Aaaah... those Root/Finch scenes! :hrt: How can anyone not love Root?!

Root:''Its if we are not friends anymore, you been alive is enough''

the feels :(

:hrt:

I still have a bad feeling that she's going to bite it this season... :waa:

The writer of this past episode, Ashley Gable, posted a photo on Twitter showing the storyboard of the entire epiosde and it reveals 2 important things: Harper was originally supposed to be Zoe and that Root supposedly has the Trojan activation switch. With the team going up against Samaritan in the next episode, I feel that'll likely be when Root gets around to activating it, should Samaritan still be planning to use Beth's algorithm.

Interesting... Does that mean that the Machine would be sending the jobs to Zoe or did they just add that when they changed her to Harper?

Ive got a bad feeling about it too, and probably will be by the hands of Shaw,if they decide to bring her back in the season finale

I've never watched Vikings either, but Winnick gave me Anna Torv vibes, which is always a good thing.

[BLACKOUT]I was concerned about that before the Shaw situation happened. Though Shaw's not dead, I don't think they're going to write out every single female lead. I mean we lost Carter, Shaw's out of commission for who knows how long, I don't see them taking the female lead count down to 0.[/BLACKOUT]

[BLACKOUT]Well Unless Harper and Dani Silva start playing more of a significant role moving forward, both of them are expected to be in future episodes.[/BLACKOUT]

[BLACKOUT]True...stop making me worry though. :oldrazz: [/BLACKOUT]

Snow Queen, your avy! :hrt:

NOOOOOO!!!! Don't even say that! :waa: :waa: :waa:

Thank you! :woot:

And in regards to Shaw, the hopeful part of me expects her to pop back up in the second last episode. It was apparently called Black Site before they changed it to Asylum. Makes me think it's a little likely it might involve whatever Black Site they hauled her off to. Unlikely probably but I can hope. :oldrazz: And I can't see a situation where her death would be at the hands of Shaw. If she were to die in a way involving Shaw, I imagine it'd be to sacrifice herself on a rescue mission for Shaw. At least at this point in time and hopefully I am wrong because I don't want her to go. :hrt:

I liked Winnicks bounty hunter and Harper is a good addition to the recurring characters list. It was also nice to see John get a little love, but you know she's as good as dead now. :(

Root:''Its if we are not friends anymore, you been alive is enough''

the feels :(

The scenes between them were great as always, such a complex bond.

It'll be interesting to see what the status quo change is at the end of this season. I doubt Samaritan will be going down in this season finale (though perhaps a major blow to it, but I think it'll still be hanging on for a while longer), and the writers have favoured status quo changes with the Samaritan takeover and the Machine being under the control of no one anymore in the last two seasons instead of a cliffhanger like season 1's with Root taking Harold.

Nolan and Plageman always said they'd welcome a chance to bring her back in a flashback so it's nice to see they followed through on that statement.

They better promote the s*** out of that return. Get some of those Empire viewers/demo.

Root :hrt:

That was crazy. And Greer nonchalantly shooting the Kahn before treating himself to a cigar at the end. Cold-blooded.

Another fantastic episode, as usual. I find myself continually impressed every time we see a little more of Samaritan's web.

[BLACKOUT]God I hope Root finally gets to kill Martine when it's time for her to go. As much as I like Martine, that would be deeply satisfying. :funny:[/BLACKOUT]

I still don't know why John didn't just put a couple rounds in her when he pulled Root off her. Would have been a real simple solution.

As for the rest of the episode, Samaritan is getting creative to find the Machine and I've got a feeling that the final 2 episodes will be showing the final fruits of that task. Also, I'm now really wondering what the Machine wanted with that indestructible case Root stole. Better be a good use for it.

I liked the episode, but I honestly thought it felt like just another episode. Maybe I missed something... but it seemed like it was the classic wonder why this guy's life is being ruined by hacks leaks and automatic systems... could it be this guy who he hates? Nope, just [BLACKOUT]Samaritan[/BLACKOUT].
Did anyone else feel this way? I just didn't see much from an overall arching story/goal/mission. Please tell me I just missed something important.

Big takeaway was that Samaritan is continuing to look for the Machine and did so by using Khan's own product to trick the Machine into not seeing the anti-virus virus as a potential threat. Khan realized that something bigger was going on and started suspecting an AI, which made him a threat to Samaritan. Greer and Samaritan wanted him eliminated because he could possibly expose them and could disrupt their search. I think we'll eventually see Samaritan find the Machine (as Finch thinks will happen due to the Machine being such unique code) and the AIs go head-to-head in some fashion.

Also we found out that part of [BLACKOUT]Samaritan's goals with the stock exchange crash was to hurt Khan's finances.[/BLACKOUT]

Theory: [BLACKOUT]Before the season started, when Cara Buono was cast, we got a little character bio for Martine saying she had the key to operating in this new world. With the emphasis on bio-tech recently and her slightly robotic movements and dialogue, I'm thinking she may have bio-tech in her.[/BLACKOUT]

Thy last episode was pretty good. My only question was: What was the point of Kahn buying a gun that was never used?

What was the point of showing Kahn Samaritan just to kill him?
