I've actually been impressed by some of the profiles, at least the ones who cut the BS and say they're not looking for things like guys who take half naked pics or don't type fully words or sentences. I guess I like that because I don't do those things but I know a lot of girl who do that with me.

I am too! I just started talking rings with my bf...and he didn't run away. In fact I think he was a little cause that means he gets to keep me hopefully for life.

Yeah, I'm the same way. Like some of these girls do seem nice, but encountering that person in person is a big thing for me. I know love at first sight doesn't exist, but I'd like to have a feeling like that where I see a girl in person and know right away that I'd like to give it a shot.

I guess it's because I'm a petite woman raised by paranoid parents, but I'd like to know someone first before meeting them in person. It gives me an easy out if someone I'm chatting with turns out to be a creep or gives off potential stalker-vibes. I've weeded out a lot of guys at the message/chat stage because of creepy vibes, and I've never had a bad face-to-face meeting, so that's what I like about online dating.

So in the past 3 hours of searching, I only found 6 girls that I would consider messaging. But even then its more because she looks cute and doesn't seem to stuck up.

That's what someone else told me on Facebook. But he's 19 (not sure how old you are) and everyone's kind of stupid and immature at that age. Meaning the girls you talk to will also be stupid and immature.

And seriously folks, it takes time. When I finally found my bf, I checked PoF only once every two weeks for any new messages. When you first get on, you're always bombarded but that doesn't mean that you have to choose right away.

I sorted through forty pages and didn't find very many. I'll probably message some of them but first I'll be lazy and see what I get for responses. Being stuck up about looks is more of a maturity issue , then it becomes being stuck up about finances.

What's wrong with wanting to have sex with other women? They were talking about rape, which (maybe it's just me) but that is a lot worse than two women consenting to having sex. Plus, there's a difference between wanting to be dominated by a man, and wanting to be raped.

Oh, and I think you might be confusing 'feminism' with 'radical feminism'. Feminists believe in equality of the genders, which means they would not expect a man to apologize for being a man. They don't think one gender should be superior to the other. Radical feminists, if I'm not mistaken, share most of the views you wrote.

That's where you attack a point that nobody even made. Nowhere did I say I had an issue with lesbians, my POINT was the internal contradiction of feminism calling women who are sexually attracted to dominant men "gender traitors", when their mantra insists that women should be free to explore their sexuallity whatever it be. Do you see that contradiction?

You want to represent feminism then the first thing you say should not be re-enforcing negative views by resorting to ad-hominem and strawmen.

Not only agreed, but the knocking off the pincess pedestal actually works even better on hot women.

Girls who are an 8+ in looks will respond better than say a 4 or 5.

The reason is doing so with the 4 or 5 makes you look 100% out of her leauge, where a hotter girl will still think she has a shot.

Hotter women are also more used to men sucking up to them, due to their looks, so when a guy comes along and has a "you need to impress me attitude" she sees him as different and a challenge.
