Saw the IGN article and it brought me here. I'm pretty open to a Robocop reimagining but that's probably because I saw it during my childhood but not when it was in theater. It was actually the first R rated movie I saw. My dad and I watched when I was about 9... Good Times.

Yeah, what a bizarre script. I can't believe they had the nerve to call this film Robocop. They actually had Robocop transform into a motorcycle so she could ride on his back and escape Czechoslovakian terrorists with enhanced alien DNA. And then that part where Omnicorp tries to sell ED-209 to the public by having it breakdance at a trade show... just horrible.

This movie will get a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Not crazy about some of those story tidbits but then again I'my iffy on most remakes and reboots before they come out anyway.

You want it to be different but at the same time it seems so different that it doesn't work anymore to me.

the initial synopsis was so, emotionless and full of so much DO NOT WANT.

but this sounds like w are getting OUR original Robocop (updated) and an emotional driven story to further connect us to him!

Sorry people that think Robo is as iconic as Batman, Superman, Spidey, ect (who all have had many iterations of their suits, some very different than their source material) are really stretching. Robo is cult at best. Not iconic like the Terminator or even Aliens for that matter.

You will see that suit for a few minutes, but it will be gone, and the suit is described sleek allowing for quick fast movements.

You will see that suit for a few minutes, but it will be gone, and the suit is described sleek allowing for quick fast movements.

Meh I'd argue Robocop is just as iconic as Terminator or Aliens.

Keep in mind Robocop was a lot bigger than just some cult hit in 1987. It did pretty well and performed better than say the original Terminator three years earlier.

Ehhhh, that's stretching things a bit. I think he's just as iconic as The Terminator, and maybe Aliens(probably not for some fanatic Alien fans, though). I mean, if you think about it, all three of those movies that you just listed are all iconic, especially when it comes to the aesthetics. When people think of Robocop, they automatically think of the one we've seen in all three movies, cartoons, comics and the TV series. And of course, all of them did good at the box office(#1 ranked at the time) and DVD/Blu Ray sales.
