RoboCop Reboot - Part 1

As i dont have a working computer i cant do this my self. But someone should take that shoulder shot we have of RC-2000 and copy and flip it, it might give us a better look as to what we will be getting.

I think Robocop this time will look like a combo of Ninja Raiden from MGS4 and the traditional Robocop.

That's a good way of putting it. I really do find it to carry enough of the classic ED-209 attributes to still be recognizable while still updating it and making it look new.

Exactly, it feels like a faithful evolution of the original concept.

Also like the introduction of the aerial drones. Definitely ups the ante and isn't too far off from reality as I remember reading not too long ago that certain police stations are considering using surveillance drones. Another instance of life imitating art or rather vice versa.

I didn't know that, it will certainly be interesting to see how they are used in the movie, as I expect at some point when Robocop is no longer playing ball they will be turned on him.

I'm really liking what I'm seeing so far. Can't wait until the full reveal.

I'm guessing this is Robocop without the full armour. I think (or hope) that Robocop will more resemble those pieces of concept art that leaked a while ago.

I loved the video. ED-209 looks fantastic and I can't wait to see Robocop take out a drone or more! Good start to an already anticipated movie of mine!

the design is well done, but honestly i dont know it doesn't seem really human more pure robot

and this may sound stupid but far to clean.

this has really surprised me though because i thought this ting still hadn't made it past the script stage

I would hate if Robocops helmet was anything other then the chinstrap and full visor. I feel like everything else is free game and open to interpretation but his helmet needs to stay faithful. For me it would be like Batman without the ears on the cowl.

I'm not too giddy over the possibility of that being the helmet look, though I feel pretty confident it won't be.

IMO all they really need to do is tweak the old design, personally I liked the way with the old version you could see the workings on different parts, like the pistons on the calf and foot joint, hope they don't go for a 'smoother' look . I am also wondering still whether they will be going more for an Iron Man kind of approach in the design.

Well Kinnaman has stated we will see hi eyes, so that's something new that seems certain to be implemented into the new design.

Ed 209 looks great and robo seesh all we seen is a shoulder I would wait to judge it more fairly once we see full design. I would figure it probably be more like terminator exoseklton body/irobot body, with a armor plating ala ironman for body. As for visor I do still hope its classic look if not. Going by that one rumor awhile ago of seethru visor, I be fine if it slightly tinted so in certain light it looks dark.

But... the shoulder looks TEH PUFFY and it's not perma-chrome! It's Shouldergate! And now there's the rumor that Robo will have organic six-shooters! This movie will fail!

This is what I read a few months ago, and I'm not really too thrilled about it.

"It's not going to be jaw action. They’re still working on the suit and how it’s going to look, but the visor is going to be see-through. You’re going to see his eyes."

They were still working on it though. They might have opted out for something different.

I mean look at ED-209 which is still recognizable. I think it won't be all too different.

Of course it could change, but I'm not going to get too excited until I see what Robo looks like. ED 209 looks great, but I'm waiting to see where they'll be taking this. And is this movie still going to be PG-13?

I re-watched Robocop last night on Netflix, and it's such a great movie. Still holds up. I just hope the new one turns out ok.

I'd go as far to say Robocop is one the greatest movies ever made.

2 and 3 don't exist
