The other half was his epic dialogue.

"Drop It".

Classic.

old news we've discussed it. I think it's been debunked

Ya it was never confirmed to be the suit just a possible early concept design with its validity never stated when I posted images. But I still think we will have something close to original look yet with some modifications just like how ed 209 turned out.

Another actress in talks for robocop role:

^she's awesome. The cast is certainly shaping up to be incredible.

And the suit was definitely debunked. Someone on CBM posted it and MGM rep told them that Mike Jensen (concept artist) was never hired by them.

with shooting set to start soon, i'm now wondering if we are even going to get a Bodicker-like villain in the film at all. as of now, it seems that the only villain is Hugh Laurie who will be playing the Dick Jones type role in the film.

^Maybe, or they're just keeping it a secret. Filming is starting September 5th, so there's about a month to announce another villain.

Half of Robocop's charm was his methodical movement.

I don't mind if he moves a little faster, as long as they keep that.
I totally agree. And like someone mentioned the sound of movements and walking

Really want Bodiker in this. hoping they announce his casting soon.

Ehle was one of the only actors who didn't phone in her performance in Soderburgh's ridiculously overrated Contagion. She would be a good addition to the cast.

i am a little afraid that they will put CGI parts on him like with iron man 2 . so that you will be able to see through the robot arms and legs and torso.

I prefer the suit to be completely real however ILM and then weta did great with the cgi on IM so if looks as good as that and helps the performance then I'm all for it.

I worry if he turns out looking like that black Joel Kinnaman thing in the promotional video!

Yaa maybe haugh laurie character is the only bad guy for the film. Wouldn be to bad and would work since they seem to be more going in the corparation direction this film. But we also have a month to filming starts and who knows who else may join the cast. Or could even be cast when film is already shooting.

Thats samuel L jackson apparently. Or the new version of him.

^ True, but I don't think he'll be as campy or silly as the original. Actually, Jackson could just be something totally different.

"Jackson will play Pat Novak, "a charismatic TV mogul and a powerful force in the RoboCop world.""

It will probably be a mix of the dude from original and a new take we don't know.

I imagine Jackson as a late night Tv host, talking about politics and current affairs, one of them being the Robo cop programme and whether its needed. Kinda like the segments in the dark knight returns.

The original Robocop had that satire sort of thing with those two newscasters, and cutting to those funny commercials.

Jackson would hilarious as a Jon Stewart type host!

'Boardwalk Empire' Actor in Negotiations to Join 'Robocop' (Exclusive)

If a deal makes, Michael Kenneth Williams will play the cop partner to Joel Kinnaman.

Boardwalk Empire actor Michael Kenneth Williams is in negotiations to join the cast of Robocop, MGM and Sony’s remake of the classic 1987 sci-fi action movie.

The movie is gearing up for a September start in Toronto and has amassed a line up that includes Joel Kinnaman as the title hero, Hugh Laurie as the villain, plus Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman, Jay Baruchel, Abbie Cornish and Jackie Earle Haley.

Jose Padilha (Elite Squad) is directing the film.

Williams will play the partner to Kinnaman’s police officer Alex Murphy who is tight with Murphy’s family.

Williams garnered acclaim starring in HBO’s The Wire, recurred on NBC’s Community, and is currently shooting Twelve Years a Slave, which stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Brad Pitt and Michael Fassbender. On Empire, he plays racketeer Chalky White.
Williams is repped by The Collective.

Cool I love Chalky in Boardwalk Empire, Williams is a great actor.

Michael Kenneth Williams? Aka Omar Little from The Wire?

F*** this cast is great. There actually is not one actor in this that I'm not at least a minor fan of.

It's sort of ridiculous how spectacular this cast is. MGM/Sony is going all out.

Not only that but I think this also means the script is pretty damn good. I think Padilha's vision for this is probably something else that's quite attractive for all these great actors to commit themselves to this movie.

This is by far my most anticipated movie for 2013 along with Elysium and MOS.

Joel Kinnaman. Fan of his from The Killing
Hugh Laurie. Liked him on House
Samuel L Jackson. Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown...too many to name
Gary Oldman. The Dark Knight Saga, Leon
Jay Baruchel. Tropic Thunder, Undeclared
Abby Cornish. I liked her performance in Sucker Punch
Jackie Earle Haley. Great in Watchmen and Little Children
and now Michael K Williams. Who played one of the best characters on TV ever

I honestly have not like a movie cast, before seeing the movie, this much
