RoboCop Reboot - Part 3

Wow, 1.0 looks really close to the original suit. Why didn't they keep that all film?

Honestly the only thing I'm looking forward to is Michael Keaton. Haven't seen him go big bad since Desperate Measures. Absolutely nothing else has caught my attention so far
Ha, I'm in the exact same mindset. I am interested, just because I love the older movie, but Keaton is what has really been keeping me a bit focused.

Yeah Keaton's presence means something. The guy is pretty careful with his movie choices and has shied away from franchise fare. He either saw something he really liked about this script or he's using it as a stepping stone to get back into the GA's field of view.

I don't like the suit. I don't like the updated theme. I don't like the loss of humor/campiness. But all of that can easily be reversed once I see the final product. I don't go into these movies with baggage. What really does worry me is the shift in release dates. They put the movie into a throwaway slot. That's very telling.

it would b great if the black suit was the prototype 1.0 and the grey suit the 3.0. they could have a scene in the movie where the criminals make fun that its a black suit. maybe throw in some superhero joke.

but black is more cool. so lets make fun of the grey suit :)

the grey suit is no a toy but concept art from the promo video.

I can't wait for this to be great so all of you saying how pointless this is or how dumb it is can just shut it

I hope it turns out great. But I have no problem whatsoever saying I think it looks one-note and unnecessary until they prove otherwise.

Certain aspects of the movie do sound dumb to me, yes. Regardless if the movie is good or not, those things will probably still sound stupid to me. Sorry....

Same. The whole serpentine-esque movements akin to iRobot are completely unappealing to me as is the black suit. It would be like remaking Star Wars and having a blue Yoda instead just because.

i hope this turns out great too but i just dont like the suit

suit 1.0 looks like something i would think an updated Robocop should look like while still looking like robocop and I really wish that was THE suit. 3.0 still just looks like a dude in an protective suit.

To be fair, I think that's what they're going for. Would you think 1.0 was part human?

considering that 1.0 still has that exposed hand and he still has the robocop superhero chin look, yep I can see that being part human. There's not enough robo in this robocop. It just looks full. This may sound stupid, but iron man's suit looks more robotic. I guess that's the point of the whole thing, but it doesnt sound as interesting as what the original did. It's gonna be hard for these guys to come up with something as engaging as a murdered cop turned into a machine who slowly regains his humanity.

I really want this movie to be great for one reason only. For people to learn to criticize a film after they 've seen it. Love the designs of New Robo by the way...

I just did for Elysium. But again, if I don't know about it, how am I supposed to look it up?

Well for me, as a movie geek, I actively seek out upcoming movies, movie news and such. That's the way I find out these things.

With Elysium, I loved the director's last movie, so I've always kept an eye on how his next movie was going along. Not to mention it's sci-fi, maybe my favorite genre.

It's not that hard to seek out things if you're interested in them. In Elysium's case, movies in general. :)

Imagine he went around like this! :funny:

I will judge the suit once I see it in action. Hard to judge based on set photos.

I guess it would be too much for him to put a black glove on his hand to make it look more uniform to the body. I get it though, they want to show he's "still human" even if 90% of him isn't.

than why did they design the suit to look so robotic? i am talking about the company in the movie. why didnt they create the suit to make it looks like a guy was inside the suit? i hope the hand works in the movie .

Just having the human hand is bound to bring up red flags for Robocop's internal programing

Starts out as obidient machine....

*looks at hand*

Robocop- Who was I before?

Omnicorp- Crap!

I still think the hand is lame. Want to show the audience there still exists a human part of him? How about showing that through actual character growth.

I feel like this will be a minor hit. It'll make some money, probably get it's budget back but then will be forgotten. I'm not feeling it.
