He's a true visionary. He will become this generation's Spielberg. Making RoboCop 2 will get his name in the Cinematic Hall of Fame.
you got me with Ed Tewohnein. o broke google heheh
One thing that surprised me is that I really grew to like the black suit and would've been perfectly happy if he'd kept it.
I'm not understanding the "It's not Robocop" crowd.
How is it not Robocop just because it's a different angle on the concept of Robocop?
That's like saying BATMAN BEGINS "wasn't Batman" because it didn't take the exact same approach as Tim Burton's 1989 film.
didn't he say something similar?
but it's more or less a paraphrase of that.
i really enjoyed how they included his wife and son in this one. it added an extra layer to the story.
I think he just said he had to go, I was hoping he would say the full line, would have been an awesome homage to a similar scene in the original.
Yeah the inclusion of his wife and son was quite clever I thought, it made for some of the better scenes in the movie and some of the more emotional ones as well. The scenes he didnt recognise them due to his humanity being subdued were very well done.
The biggest fear/complaint turned out to be a non-issue. I just wish they'd kept it more glossy black like the prototype from the B-Roll footage. Matte black made it look more like a "guy in a suit" but made more sense from a tactical or SWAT perspective.I still can't believe that after all of the fan backlash myself included, in reference to the black suit the film finally comes out and barely anyone had an issue with it, I felt it didn't look as bad as I thought it would, but I am still overly in love with the new silver suit.

looking foward to a possible sequel.
It has been out two weeks overseas and the numbers are pretty low for a film that cost at least $100mil.It's been out a week... and it has made over a $100m worldwide. There's a sequel coming. Unless they're scared of the numbers at the North American box office.
I have to say. Did't hate it. The action was a little dull. But... what should I call it? The human element? Was good.![]()

It is going to need another $150mil to start looking at profitability. The movie cost $100mil, and usually the marketing turns out to be half the budget. Even if you undercut that, we are looking at $130-140mil bill to cover.Well there are countries that the movied had not yet released,in Brazil it released 18 feb so i think the movie will have a good return.
