Reeve was perfect in 3 and 4, despite the fact the films were crap. You can see a huge difference in him from the first film.

I wouldn't say Boomer has "it", 'cause he never played Supes. And O'Hearn sorta has the "it" with his look from Alex Ross comic Supes, but his bad acting & reclining hairline don't make him "it". I thought Supes never have reclining hairline.

And I'm glad you will give this movie a shot despite not sure if it will turn out like you want. Just have to give it a chance. And I won't laugh in your face if you like it & change your mind. At least I'll try not to.

There is no question that Routh is more cut then Reeve was but Reeve still was bigger overall, and his body size was just right for the role.
But the most important part which made him look like Superman was the fact that he didn't look like a teenager... Routh still looks like a kid.
This is a major issue against Routh.




agreed, and if when the movie comes out, and I watch it, and I it's good I will personally come on here, and say sorry for anything negative thing I have said about Routh, and or the movie... But til then he just doesn't look the part to me, and we have a while to go until I am proven wrong.

I think O' Hearn did audit for the role from what few posters mention. But glad he wasn't hired. He look like Alex Ross's Superman come to life, but frankly his acting & too big body shape was all wrong for the part. Thought FEAR call him the "it" for some reason.

Nobody looks more like a shaved ape than Evan Marriott, who was not only rumored for Superman post-Joe Millionaire, but had a ton of fans lobbying for his casting. If the fans saw him as a good and viable choice for the part alongside Welling and Kutcher, that pretty much says it all, don't it?

Compared to him, O'Hearn is fine. Just not big-budget movie material.

I have faith. I'm happy to see that Superman is returning. I love Reeve as Superman, he will always stand in my mind as Superman, but I can also let go of that and give Routh a chance. Its just like the comics. Superman is never really the same, except in actions. His look is different in all of the comics now. I think it will be fine.

I really doubt I will the movie has ALONG way to go to impress me even a tiny pit.
I have not liked a single cast member for their roles, and or a single peice of set photos or news yet.... I am pretty good at calling a movie a turd when I smell one, and this movie smells like something worse then new born poop!
If I like it then I will be a man, and I will admit it but until then if these photos coming out keep making Routh, and the movie look bad then I will continue like the rest of the people on here, and all over the net trashing the movie.
Sorry that's just the way it is... As it is I think im going to wait til the movie gets to the Dollar cinema which is about a mile up the road from my home town, and or goes to blockbuster or PPV...
I don't have any excitment or builed or hype to go see it when it hits theaters, and my wife doesn't like the way its coming out either.
So she's not going to go with me she would rather watch paint dry (her own words)... As for my friends nobody I know is even remotly wanting to watch this movie, and that includes some of the biggest comic book nerds you could ever know!
I have alot of friends who are into the old movies, smallville, and yea even the comics... NOBODY I know is hyped about the movie...
