"Venom, Excel, Nightwing1977, King Krypton" about anything you stupid twits have to say..

According to you anyone who goes against this movie (which im not alone even on here..) is this fanboy character you made up in your mind.
What a sad ******ed little child you must be.
Go play D&D with your "special friends" you bloody ****!
I am getting real tired of your actions.

This is an "official" warning....do NOT continue to call people names like this. You are rude and inconsiderate of other's feelings. If you continue to make posts like these....you will be put on probation or banned.

How does that make me a hypocrite? Cause I see "IT" in an actor who has never been fired from a soap? UNLIKE ROUTH, and who I see in his face the superman "IT" factor??
You know what man I have never personally attacked anyone but your an idiot...period...CASE CLOSED! It's called my opinion jackass look around I have posted thats cool if someone else doesnt see the "IT" Factor in Boomer because that's my opinion.
Now go jump infront of a semi you twit... :o

"Fired from a soap" from my understanding is his role on the show was only for a short time. i watch saops with my wife and only the main people the soap is centered around stay everyone esle that has nothing to do with the new polt leaves and new people come in thats what happened to Routh...thx:) norm

Considering how many times he's been banned before under his "BladeRunner"/"Fanboy Xtream"/whatever else handles, I think this is like yelling into the wind. He's been banned numerous times at The Kryptonian and still keeps coming back (and bragged about it once). He simply doesn't care.

He reminds me a lot of Roy, the guy who kept getting banned from the Catwoman forums and still came back time and again to insult those who he couldn't sway to his way of thinking. Nice to know that things haven't changed.... :down

Look at that even the same hairline... Now stop with the nonsense.
If you don't see the "IT" factor in Ohearn to bad... your as blind as Singer.
I have not put Ohearn next to Reeve's but the guy has the "IT" factor... I see it clear as day.

HE LOOKS like alot of the comics, and like the more recent cartoon versions of SUPERMAN.
Again if you can't see it ohwell to bad but why attack my credibility? I mean you like Routh who looks like everything BUT like Superman, and I have not said a single negative thing about you... well not til now because you know you like BJ so there goes your credibility buddy... :o

Ohearn does not have the look, he got the body and maybe the hair. He looks, ehh...... not so "bright"

I think he was recast. I could definately be wrong though, I've never seen a full episode of a soap opera, and I never intend to.

Up to your usual tricks FEARTHEKNIGHT?!?!?

I'm not surprised EVERYONE is disagreeing with you here......you and you're made-up facts.

Not everyone is disagreein wit me its just the usual suspects of characters in here who keep messin with everything I post cause my views are diffrent then theirs, and they don't like it when anyone has there own opinions on the movie, and the troll on the Smallville forum all the time bashing the show but when someone returns the favor they get bent out of shape, and take it on them self's to aim personal attacks, and make up stupid crap about me, and tryin to get into flame wars wit me...There's a few Nazi's in here like that so whatever I could careless about them, and from now on I won't acknowledge those idiot's, and there posts.

If you like the movie good for u I hope u enjoy it, and watch it 100 times, and help it's box office total.
The whole point of this forum is for us to talk about the movie good or bad as normal civil people, and its sad some there's always a couple of idiots who cant have a disscussion without gettin personal.. Those are called "net thugz", and most of the recent problems have been in this thread which ironically enough is called "Suit, Muscle.. is Brandon the problem?" which is a thread about askin if brandon being the problem... I didn't start the thread, and or any of the problems with anyone, and it's stupid to pick on me cause of my views... Im an american livin in america, and I enjoy my freedom of speech... Those who try to take it away are just being stupid communists, and they will from now on go on ignore... Im tired of talking to stupid spoiled little brats who got nothing better to do anyway then go online, and act tough cause the truth is, and we all know this to be the truth! in there lives they get beat up everyday at school for there lunch money!

Like Mr T says...

The role was created for him, and after a few month's they has to recast the role because his acting was terrible on the show.
The character was still on the show for a while... But yea he was fired due to poor acting skills.

You're not wrong. Routh was fired and subsequently replaced by another actor playing the same character ("Seth") on the daytime soap opera, One Life to Live. I believe he was a member of the regular cast for about six months, but somebody can correct me if I'm wrong on the duration.

More details here:
http://www.soapcentral.com/oltl/news/2002/0325-routh.php

The most commonly attributed reason noted by OLTL fans for Routh's dismissal is that he was a poor actor in the role.

He may end up to be the greatest thing since sliced bread as Superman, but he was (apparently) woefully lacking on OLTL about three years ago.

Hey C LEE I have never been rude to others unless provoked, and that's a fact...Now I had not read your post until after my earlier post which I said I will ignore people who attack me but if your going to warn me please do the same to those who start it with me... That's only fair!

Read the thread in full, and you will see im not lying...

If they can't have an open disscusion about the movie without resulting into tryin to start some sort of beef with me then im not gonna deal with them, and they will be placed on ignore.
But you wont hear me argue again with anyone... Like MR T Said on top...

I am only here expressin my views just like everyone elses.. Don't need to be so worried the movie's coming out regardless if I like it or not, and as I have said before if someone likes what they see good for them I don't try to make them believe what I believe or force my views on them.
Everyone has the right to beleive what they want, and thats just how it is...

Well they created the role for him, and they had ideas of having him on for a while he was signed for a year, and they cut ties with him after 6 months.
They just didn't like what they saw in him but your right on the money with the post on how soaps use actors...

The people to blame for any comic book movies problems are ourselves because we're a bunch of greedy selfish bastards who expect everything and anything to be tailored specifically to our individual desires.

A non issue for what? His being fired from a soap opera for poor performance? Or his being hired for a $200+ million dollar franchise motion picture because it doesn't matter how good he can act?

Not trying to be argumentative or anything, but I'm confused. Under what professional situations would an actor's acting skills be a non issue?

I support Routh and I was confused by SA's statement also about Routh's acting skills being a non issue?

http://onelifetolive.about.com/library/reflections/2002/bl040102.htm

Lots of speculation has been going around on the boards about the new Seth…do we need a new Seth? Was the current Seth treated fairly? What is the new Seth like? I watched the new Seth on Another World for a while and I did see him in that funny episode of Sex and the City. I’m sure he’ll do fine…that is unless he runs into the same brick wall as Brandon Routh did…bad writing! Like I have said before, I think some of these young actors are not given a decent chance because the material that is written for them is horrible and couldn’t even be well acted by Sir Laurence Olivier. I wish Brandon much success and a job where, if he’s got a lot of talent, they let it blossom.

Yeah. Maybe a non-issue for this thread? Acting isn't the thread topic. I dunno.

But hey, it's not a big deal (to me.) Anyhoo, I'm procrastinating my workout. Gotta fly. Later taters. :)

You just don't get it. You're started this whole problem with bashing the movie over & over without a real good intelligent debate. And when we try to point some of your biased opinions & not having real good debate, you attack some of us. Thus, C. Lee warning you to stop it & not some of us. In fact, I never call people name like "twist" or "****" like you call some. Which is why C. Lee warned you instead. I wouldn't have a problem with you if you just lighten up & post up good debate rather than just say "Singer suck!" or "Routh don't have it!" over & over. I seen some suit haters or those not liking the idea of the movie plot did it with good debate rather than just excuses.

What I meant was it is near impossible to talk about Routh's acting ability based on his track record. Let's see, what else has he done:

1. One Life to Live
2. Cold Case
3. Gilmore Girls
4. Will and Grace

First of all, any argument for, or against, his acting ability based on #3 and #4 is a garanteed thin one considering he had a combined total of 2 sentences to say and a total 1 minute of screen time. I'd understand gripes about his acting if he had delivered the lines spastically or looked at the camera in a Zoolander way or something, but he didn't.

As for #2, his part on Cold Case consisted of mostly looking left or looking right, looking concerned or looking embarrassed, and a single line, "I have to be going now." That's it. That's all he had to work with. And again, it's not as if there was anything overtly unbelievable in his delivery of his one, solitary, line. His tone was even, believable, and not melodramatic. Taken #2, #3, and #4 all together, if you can somehow make a case that his acting skill is crap (or gold for that matter) based on his ability to look left, look right, act concerned, act surprised and say the lines, "I'm curvy where it counts" "Is there a problem here?" and "I have to be going" then you either have no idea what you're talking about, or you should seriously consider becoming a friggan acting coach because you're a genius.

And now for #1...his part on One Life to Live. Unfortunately, I've only seen a brief clip of Brandon as Seth on brandonrouth.com, though what I saw didn't send up any s*itty acting flares either. If anyone here actually watched the show and saw Brandon's acting, then by all means come forward and give us an opinion. However, all I've seen and read from peeps about Routh's One Life to Live tenure is that they haven't seen a second of footage, but they all they know that he was fired. Well...I'm sorry but that just doesn't cut it as a logical argument against (and certainly not in favor of) Routh's acting ability. All it means is that he was fired. Case in point, Batgirl's recent posting. Was Routh fired because he has no acting talent whatsoever? Or was he fired because he just couldn't make dialogue that had all the richness and meaning of an athlete's foot cream directions label emotional and dramatic? You don't know, and I don't know. And chances are, you've never even seen him act on the show anyway to form your own logical opinion.

Finally, all of these TV appearances happend, what, three years ago? THREE YEARS AGO!!! Hilary Swank's first movie was the freaking "Next Karate Kid" and now she's a two time oscar winner (and I saw her movies. She deserved both of them.) The bottom line, is that nobody knows jack about Routh's acting ability and people have nothing with which to form an accurate INFORMED conclusion.

So like I said, Routh's acting ability should be a non-issue.

OR.....people should just try to stop making declaritive statements about it like they went to school with Brandon and took acting classes with him.

Funny thing you mentioned Hillary Swank. Did you guys know she was FIRED from Beverly Hills 90210 because SHE WAS NOT A GOOD ENOUGH ACTRESS ?

Yep, two-time Oscar winner Hillary Swank was fired (or 'let go') from friggin' Beverly Hills 90210!

She now openly speaks about it... and this fact happened in 1998! In 1999 she did Boys Don't Cry and boom... her first Oscar.
