The Dark Knight Rises TDKR SPOILERS (read at your own risk) - Part 5

It was an alright conclusion. Nolan could've done better if he wasnt so pretentious and wanted to cram so much into one story. Didnt he call this movie the best war movie since the silent era??

Why was Nolan pretentious?

So we have to accept this BS excuse for the fact the movie dragged for the first hour???

I wasn't making an excuse.

As far as I am concerned the first hour didn't drag.

I think the problem is that they completely forgot about his injuries as soon as he got out of the pit. His body was like brand new.

He'd had five months of recuperation.

You also have to question whether he ever really needed the cane, and how much of it was psychosomatic.

No, he didn't.

Saw it again last night.

Enjoyed it more on the second viewing, but the story still feels forced.

So, whenever a filmmaker says its the biggest movie since the silent era, it is still ridiculous. I've read the article many times and still think he's inflating his ego. Because the WAR part was the one of the WORST parts of this movie.

He should've kept quiet. Period.

It's liked he defined the movie before people even saw it. To me that doesn't sound right at all.

Call me an idiot as much as you like, i didnt like that at all.

While you may have read it many times, clearly you did not read it enough times because you completely misunderstood/misread what he said.

A number of people have pointed this out to you and yet you persist, which is strange to say the least.

It is not as though you don't have form I suppose, given that most (if not all) of the so called 'plot holes' you 'identify' are based on misconceptions/lack of attention and have been quite easily explained, only for you to repeat the ill-conceived arguments a few pages further on.

you speak as if your opinion is fact. if anyone has an inflated ego here, it is you sir.

it is why IMHO you are having a hard time convincing others. Your posts seem to lack conviction.

interestingly enough, it seem to explain his opinion of the movie. If he paid attention to the film as much as he paid attention to the article...

He said biggest and in reference to the amount of extras.

And he would be correct in that regard. This movie had the biggest set pieces involving thousands of extras that we've probably seen in our lifetime.

"Biggest" doesn't mean "best". I think Nolan probably has a healthy amount of ego. But he's shown how humble he is many times too.

UaaalaDan, you have trolling 101 problems.

Indeed the scale of the movie is epic, although I have to say I thought some of the youtube spy footage actually captured the scale of the City Hall fight better!

Of course, someone's waiting for this movie to fail.
