Just got back from Godzilla..... I hope Aaron Taylor Johnson doesn't have too much screen time in Avengers 2, the guy has the acting range of a piece of cardboard.

Yeah, I've read a few less-than-stellar comments on his performance even in positive reviews, which is unfortunate. I have yet to see it myself, hopefully Whedon makes him either step his game up or Quicksilver's the kinda role that suits him more. I mean... he was pretty good in Kick-Ass I thought, so there's potential.

He's kind of like this granite statue, and when he has to express an emotion with his face he starts grimacing like REALLY HARD because it's so hard for him to squeeze some expression out of his granite face.

I would just add that the guy did a tremendous job in Nowhere Boy (as well as Kick-ass) so he can do it...really well in fact!

And I've not seen Godzilla yet.

So in A:AoU which Aaron will we get??

I could very well be late to this party and I am sure some disscusion has been made about this elsewhere but I have just read the wikipedia (I know!!) entry for the Scarlet Witch and there is an interesting reference to Mount Wundagore and Cthon.

"The twins are born during a battle between the Knights of Wundagore and the Other, "the elemental host of Cthon"; Mt. Wundagore is the prison of the Elder God Chthon, and Magda had come to the mountain in the midst of a plot of his to escape the prison. Seeing as Baron Strucker has possession of The sceptre which originally belonged to The Other (Cthon) I am just wondering if Strucker's base is Mt Wundagore and if we will see The Other appear in this too??

ATJ is a good actor imo I've liked him in Nowhere Boys,Savages,Kick-Ass etc but yeah I didn't hear good things about him in Godzilla. I'll see it in a couple of hours so I can judge better

I agree with CK; I think it's the fact that there is very little character development for ATJ to work with. (I'm not sure if the guy had more than 20 lines of dialogue in the whole film.) His Godzilla character is basically a sum of:

a) My mom died when I was young
b) I need to get back to my family
c) I'm a bomb expert

Other than that, his character is simply the avatar that helps the audience experience Godzilla from a "human perspective".

Like CK, I'm not worried. Joss usually gets high praise for working well with actors and for getting what he needs from a scene. Hopefully there's a little more character for ATJ to work with...

Am I the only one who didn't know that Fox was working on "Fantastic Four 3" and were going to bring Black Panther into the movie?!?

Does this mean they have the rights to BP and Marvel is waiting for them, or...?

Exactly. The acting in Godzilla was pretty atrocious all around. I think the director told Ken Wantanabe, "Give me 'distant, bewildered stare'" and then forgot to tell him to stop.

I have no doubts that Whedon will do better. Quicksilver is a much deeper role to work with.

I think that makes for almost everyone, from the Avengers, anyways and most of the AoS cast (Tom Hiddleston also did one this morning).

I think the only one from Avengers that I haven't seen is Scarlett - and I don't think she's on social media, and then I know Stat's daughter was also hoping on Hayley Atwell, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie and then Ian Caestecker (Fitz from AoS).

It's impressive, and kudos to the actors and to Marvel for doing this

Stratford -- a man with cancer who's dying wish is to see Cap2. He wasn't well enough to see it in theatres, and so his family is trying to get Marvel to send an early copy to his hospital for him.

It seems like they're releasing one/two pics of cast members each day. Maybe tomorrow (or Monday) we get Whedon and ScarJo since she's not on social media. Although I would love it if SJ got a Twitter account. Or for someone to teach Chris Evans how to use his!

LOL. You could make a drinking game based on Watanabe's stare in that movie. Of course, you'd be dead of alcohol poisoning 30 minutes into the movie, but whatevs.

Disaster/monster movies are usually not known for their human characters anyways so whatever I say.
