Completely wrong. Odin can do the same thing in the comics, taking away an asgardian's (not as guardian) powers and natural immortality. Read more.

Thor already explained that all their magic, magical powers and wraps are simply technological advances.

Nick Fury called him a God, Agent Coulson called him a God. Black Widow called him a God. Loki called himself a God, Hulk called Loki a God. I don't know where you're getting the 'referenced to be "like" a God' thing?

They all tend to use the term in quotes. Hulk: puny "God". The Asgardians are de-facto gods, but are really super advanced humanoid aliens. Whether that makes them gods is purely subjective. Cap does NOT consider them gods (nor does Stark, for different reasons) and his opinion is as valid as the next guy.

Being worshipped by humans is really the only qualifier for god-hood. If you also happen to be a handsome alien with super powers even better.

Why does he have to be technologically enhanced, yeah i understand you believe mjolnir is advanced tech, but why does Thor have to be, he is an 'alien' who is just genetically superior, like presumably the other aliens we will see in GOTG

I understood the "For us magic and technology are the same" line not as proof that Asgardians only use really advanced technology, but that they use magic and technology together and for the same purposes, without making a great distinction in function. That always made the most sense to me.

I dont try to figure it out. I just watch the movie and accept it is what they say BECAUSE ITS A SCIENCE FICTION MOVIE!!

Why would anyone watch a super hero movie and question the logic? Its basically pointless. None of it is real. I repeat NONE OF IT IS REAL.

Re: Quicksilver/Johnson size - some would prefer a slighter build as befitting a long-distance runner [which theyve gone for with the Flash] whereas some favour a more muscular build as seen in 100 metre sprinters [which Johnson looks like] but both builds are equally viable. I prefer the leaner/slighter build myself but hey ho. I have no problem whatsoever with the way Johnson looks. In fact, I applaud his gains.

IMO there is no right or wrong in this one, only personal preference, so to bash someone who has a contrasting opinion is a bit off. Now if Johnson wasnt in any kind of shape at all, then there would be merit for complaint.

I don't know how similar QS is to the Flash (is he basically the Marvel version of Flash?) but a friend who reads comics a lot explained it to me this way that, these guys are not just fast at running, their entire body is faster. It should essentially mean their wounds should heal faster (like Wolverine) and that their metabolism would be very very fast. A consequence of the very fast metabolism would be that they can get really cut with little fat but perhaps not too bulky. Atleast that was his reasoning. That's why perhaps CW went with a very slim and lightly built Grant Gustin over someone very muscular like the guys on Arrow.

But like you I am cool with any look. Whedon knows what he's doing.

Quicksilvers mind functions faster too. thats why hes really impatient with people and has an attitude. That will be his personality in AOU. Basically he'll look at everyone as a bunch of snails that take forever do get things done.

Marissio: Its so obvious what hes up to in here. Hes creating these "discussions" to rile everyone up as usual. He basically cant have a normal back n forth without creating some conflict. The little snide comments or childish responses. Its pretty annoying actually. look at how loki flickers, definitely an imperfect technology. All their "powers" are most likely brought with advanced tech and dna manipulation. Thor hasn't controlled the weather without the hammer just like iron man hadn't shot a rocket out of his arm without his suit. That Right there is a big clue, thors lightning is obviously coming Thanks to his tech. His hammer.

I'm sure dr.strange will explain his powers in a scientific way. He will find a way to channel energy and communicate with different dimensions and universes.i doubt he'll create voodoo dolls and start cursing people and inexplicably shoot green smoke at people.
