THE BATMOBILE THREAD

Hah, I just read that Two-Face story (2nd picture) last night!

Been a while since I'd looked back on the Adams stuff. There's tons of gorgeous art and panel work there. We're in good hands if his stuff is a top inspiration.
I know! Reeve's inspirations from Adams to Year One to Year Zero to Batman: The animated Adventures to film-noir to the 60s show(it was cheesy fun) and so on got me so exited for this movie! I'm also happy that Neal Adams, Dennis O'Neil, Paul Dini and Bruce W. Timm l are getting more attention instead of Miller and some of Loeb stuff, Matt wasn't joking when he said he was hardcore Batman fan:yay::batty:

I'm still curious what that contraption is on the hood/bonnet, it looks almost like some kind of mechanised ramp. Maybe it's just stylistic and does nothing.

A lot of race cars have exposed engines, let alone very expensive sports cars... I don't hear stories of racers or millionaires finding their vehicles ruined by random folks.

Pretty sure a car used by the scariest man, who beats up flamboyant crime bosses, wouldn't be ****ed with by street criminals... Jason Todd and the whole Penguin thing in BR were both not highlights in Batman plots.

Looks cool but the exposed engine in the rear is honestly as stupid as the convertible in Batman and Robin

There are some good reasons to have an exposed engine. Easier for quick access for repair & maintenance, better for cooling, and it could also be possible that the engine (like on many race cars) actually forms part of the chassis. To be honest, having a few panels in front of it - particularly if it's an iron block or something else strengthened - will do little in the way of protection anyway unless they are made of some uber material which is bullet resistant, etc.

Probably boosts it up into a ramped jump.

I like the look but I'd like it to have a little more of an armoured look so you could believe it can take a beating. I'm assuming it'll have weapons but it's just hidden?

This music video really made me pumped for muscle car and motorcycle carnage featuring our new Batmobile and Batbike. I hope it's as epic as in these classic films.

Batman isn't a race car driver.
