It looks like Robin is intensely looking at faces and stuff.

This is my dream bat suit.

I like this one. Very unusual. Pointy shoulders is a nice touch. I like both normal eyes and white eyes versions. Empty eyes would make it look more futuristic, for sure. I love that it still retains the feel of a bat.

Even retro-futuristic Batman. It looks like it belongs to Metropolis or something.

It's fantastic that the posters in this topic have no control over the creative aspects of the batsuit for the movie.

I think it could translate just fine, it just has to be the right style of movie. As far as it translating in the MOS universe, yeah, it would look silly, IMO.

Agree. It's definitely not for MOS universe, but something out of Watchmen or so.

i still don't understand why he can't have costume over thin armor (like Young justice), or have a "make-believe" fabric that increases tensile strength when struck with kinetic energy.

If adding a 'charge' can make a cape into a glider ( :whatever: ) then the idea i posted is beyond plausible in a movie world.

Actually a lot of that "make-believe" tech you speak of is actually very real, and can make a very real-world batsuit possible without being bulky.
http://www.d3o.com/markets/motorcycle/ is being used currently, making for very streamlined and comfy fashion form fitting jackets that are motorcycle riding protection worthy. You can wear a jacket like this and not notice the armor in it at all, but hit it with any sort of force and is reacts instantly, protecting you from 50+ mph impacts with asphalt.
Notice how it's made in any shape or sheet possible to be incorporated with fabrics.

Or take Dragon Skin body armor that's been used for quite a while now...stopping full on rifle rounds.

Or some of the more recent advances in protective fabrics http://theweek.com/article/index/236550/the-bulletproof-super-material-thats-paper-thin

No reason these entirely doable real-world applications can't be implemented into a close-fitting, Jim-Lee-ish drawn, New52 style Batsuit.

I smart weathered Batman with Wayne-tech resources would definitely incorporate/innovate all kinds of this good stuff into his suit to pummel badguys night after night for years.

This just looks so awesome!

Digging this look too though...

They're both still my favorite, too. Mine for a longer eared lenses version, and Kal's for the short ears and really well done Affleck eyes. On both of them, that's about as good as I'm ever going to be able to do fitting Affleck's face into Batman's mask. Vigilant's model's face looks a lot different, but somehow his cowl just fit Affleck's face perfectly.

I do think this is a pretty close 2nd though.

(includes shout outs to my band, music venue and place of work too haha)

It would at least be awesome to see that suit in the Batcave, along with other older ones (and Robin/Batgirl costumes).
Seriously.
That's something I've always really wanted to see in a batman movie.
It would work really well with this batman I think...since he's supposed to have some years behind him.

Here's that suit again, but with the blue extracted from the suit (I actually kind of like the blue)...

Agreed. A classic example of something from the comics that wouldn't translate well to live-action.

I disagree. That design proves the 1939 suit can work on film. Look how spooky and villain-like Batman appears.

It seems people who are questioning the Bob Kane Bill Finger suit are not looking at the full potential of the Horror style of things.

That's presentation more than it is design (specifically, with the suit).

I like the idea of the next franchise taking a lot horror inspiration for both the villains and Batman. Pretty much all the Batman villains have the potential to be majorly scary villains with the right vision. I'd LOVE to see Guillermo Del Toro's take on villains like Scarecrow, Killer Croc, Clayface, Mr. Freeze and Joker and Two Face. I think he could do a horror influenced Batman universe very well.

That movie was actually pretty scary at times and I don't usually get scared by movies.

Yeah the strangers scared the crap out of the the first time i saw it

Such an underrated horror movie.

One of the things I loved about Batman Begins were the scenes told from the perspective of the criminals and how Batman was like a horror monster.

The docks and the asylum scene especially.

I'd love to see someone make a short horror film using that 1939 costume and tell it from the perspective of a crook in the dark alleys of Gotham.

Why are you doing this?

Because you were home...

The problem with that dock part is the lack of mystery.

I think that was one of the best batman moments in the trilogy.
