^granted its just from one angle and is just the upper body, but I think the direction is respectable and could be pulled off in live-action.

^ I do like that design, especially that sleek cowl.

^that's the biggest selling point for me too. Get rid of helmethead and get a more flexible, sleek cowl.

^Yes! It eliminates that "bobble head" look Bale's suit had at times.

I really liked the animated sketches with the purple gloves that somebody tweaked a few threads back. Whatever they do with the suit I hope we get an agile Batman. One of my complaints for Nolan's iteration is that Batman didn't seem fast, as cartoony as it may be I like that he seems swift and difficult to track in BTAS/Batman Beyond. It'll be cool if they have him silently bouncing between shadows, and if his fights are a midway point between Nolan fights and MoS kryptonian fights.

^ That would be nice. And I think making a suit he can move in is the first step to getting that. Cavill could move in the MOS suit, and I hope batman and WW can move in theirs.

Kotobukiya is releasing a new Batman statue, based on Arkham City (a whole line is coming). Yes, the gauntlets are oversized, but I still feel that the Arkham suit pulls off the classic suit well and makes it look modern with the mesh armor we all want to see.

This is their Jim Lee model

I love Arkham City Batsuit, that's one Batsuit I want to see in a live-action film.

The division to me is more people who are more militant in their views of what a Batsuit should and shouldn't look like, and people who are more flexible.

So, in other words, pretty much what Regwec said.

Trust me. There will ALWAYS be someone who complains.

Probably. It'll probably be on "my" side of the argument, too--i.e., the people who want a more faithful costume, since we all have pretty particular ideas about what's important.

The ones who want everything to be armour tend to change their minds when a non-armour costume appears on the screen--though only about that specific property. They still think everything else needs to be armoured, which is why, after a billion faithful costumes, we still inexplicably have people saying Batman and even the goddamn Flash need to be armour plated.

Hawkeye doesn't even have sleeves but the Flash needs to be armour plated. Le Sigh.

Guys.

They're gonna make us wait until May to see this batsuit, aren't they :csad:?

Because grey tights are inherently more frightening and menacing to criminals. :oldrazz:

Oh, and...whoever says this didn't look cool is lying to themselves.

Eh.

I mean, it's a cool idea...sort of, but the actual visual isn't that cool. The suit still looks like the suit, and Bale just looks bewildered, standing around with his mouth open. Oh, and his head looks huge in that shot.

I'm always amused when people say "The DARK KNIGHT Batsuit looked great in the shadows".

Which translates to "It looked great when you could see less of it". Hardly a positive for the design.

Smart money is we will see the suits right before filming so that the first image of the suits will be a photo shoot and not a grainy spy pic

This is our earliest chance, definitely. When does filming start? It better be soon!
