I am the night...

I just don't see the point in discussing crap that has no real application in the world of Batman. The majority of the suites posted here are fanmade, fan drawn, or manip stuff. I just don't see the logic or reasoning in picking apart something that is essentially fanfic, so fiercely.

Well discussing "crap" is what these boards were made for. Go into any topic and you'll see discussions that range from real applications to what fans want to see. This isn't a round table of professional costume designers that are working on the actual film and nor did anyone in this thread claim to be that.

Why don't you just calm down and figure out why you want to post in a topic that angers you to such a degree where you have to come in here and sprout off rude diatribes that insult the people who worked hard on their manipulations and fan renderings?

In other words. If you don't have anything to contribute besides insulting people, then don't post.

Telling someone that you're vomiting in their face because of their opinion is completely uncalled for.

Keep it nice in here of more infractions will be handed out.

You people don't get it!

I. AM. THE. BATMAN.

The fact that they went fabric mixed with armor makes this look disgusting. Either go all armor or all fabric, there can't be a mix between the two that results in a good look. The game looks amazing however and I'll definitely buy it, but there better be other skins to choose from before I play through it the first time.

You missed to part where I told him I loved him.

Can someone explain how the Batmech above is "badass", but this is "hideous" or whatever:

Is not this

I can definitely understand why most here don't like the AK suit, but at least be fair.

So is the only difference between the two the fact that one looks cheaply made and the other doesn't? The aesthetic is basically the same?

If not that, how else does one account for the difference?

One can construe an "overly complicated" design with the following visual analogy.

The world's first computer:

The current paradigm for a Batman costume:

An Apple MacBook Air:

A live action Batman costume with fabric type armor:

The element of science fiction should serve as the foundation for a truly ingenious design.

Heh, I like the new Arkham Knight suit. Then again, I don't equate the term "trash" with "anything other than Batman's classic comic look".

The only thing I really dislike about it is the cowl, it just kills the whole suit for me.

I actually like the Arkham Knight and the Arkham Origins suits.

To me they look like what the TDK/TDKR suit was trying to achieve. The blend of real world applicable technology and the outline and elemental shape of a beast. That second part got somewhat lost on TDK suit with the cowl looking strange and bobblyheaded. And it was jagged and jigsaw patterned for no good reason. The pants looked atrocious. The AK pants look practical and comfortable by comparison.

The AK suit sort of looks like a cross between the Comic Book Batman and the Solid Snake sneaking suit. I like that.

I don't think story should be allowed to justify an ugly aesthetic.

While I wouldn't want this to be Batfleck's first outfit/costume I don't think it's ugly. It's definitely more militarized and futuristic looking but that to me doesn't mean it isn't a pretty good design.

With that said I don't want to see Batfleck wearing a costume like this for his first two goings. Maybe in the Justice League film for the final battle or something.

No, that's not an analogous comparison.

They musical suit and AK suit are the same type of puzzle piece armor aesthetic. Just because the puzzle pieces are shaped slightly differently doesn't make it "different." Its going for the same visual.
There made out of completely different materials, one looks like an awesome batsuit, one looks like a cheesy batsuit. They are pretty damn different

I don't think Batfleck could even move very well in a suit like this. Its so comically bulky there's no way Batman would be able to be fast or fight very well.

Neither do I.

I equate trash with a jumbled, confusing, over-complicated mess that seems to lack a purpose.

What exactly is confusing about it? How does Batman getting a visibly-upgraded Batsuit lack a purpose in a video game in which one of the player's many "purposes" is to continuously upgrade everything about Batman and his arsenal?

Batman getting a new suit in Arkham Knight does seem to lack a purpose now...because we know nothing about how or why he gets/needs it. We've already heard that he starts the game in the AA/AC suit and at some point dons a new one. I don't know, maybe there will be a purpose for it? Maybe it continues the literal and visual evolution of Batman throughout this else-worlds game series, rather than leaving him unchanged in appearance through it all?

I do find it a little funny that when armored-plating comes into play for Batman, it's referred to by some with words like "confusing" and "over-complicated". Doesn't really confuse me at all.

Every single thing is different. They´re two different suits, two different designs.

He looks younger than Asylum, and is older than origins. I suspect it's a midquel.

Somehow, I'm kind of comfortable with the idea of Batman getting less armored as he gets older. Like he feels more safe as it is, and ultimately armor cannot account for beings with powers :D

Perfect post

Not sure what you're gettin at here...My point is that, in capable hands with superior materials and production design, something can look totally different. The halloween costume and the statue have the same exact design. I trust Rocksteady. The studio that was so faithful to the comics and Bat-tradition for two full games didn't become a "trash" producing team of thirteen year olds overnight.
