I found these custom made cowl images. Not one of them looks exact, but verrrrry close. Someone with some photoshop skills could easily manip them together. But it is funny that even if none of these cowls are the source for this "leaked" image, they're all Jim Lee inspired, which is interesting.

No, I'm 99% sure that the cowl levitucuz posted is the source - not that image but that cowl. That is the "bat in the sun" suit from the dead pool short but not the same cowl.

The cowl in the dead pool short was by ReevzFX. The one levitucuz posted May be too.

Yup - definitely a Reevz cowl. And the brow geometry is identical.

So the "leak" is either based on some unknown pic of that cowl (heavily modified) OR... and here's where it gets fuzzy...

... hasn't there been actual speculation that Reevz might be involved with creating the Batsuit? He definitely has an in with those guys anyway. So maybe this is a manip based on his cowl OR just maybe Snyder liked that brow sculpt and used it on a new cowl.

This simultaneously provides evidence that the pic is a manip AND possibly legitimises the pic.

But this is a perfect example of how a hoax is quickly uncovered - still no source image for this Affleck pic.

Okay, NOW I realise that that cowl sculpt is Reevz's Arkham Origins sculpt, and looking closely at the brows of the AO cowl in the game materials, it's now obvious that the brow detailing is identical.

So we can definitively say that the leaked pic uses the AO cowl as a base in some form, which I could have found out ages ago by just comparing them more closely .

Heavily modified from the AO cowl obviously, but based on it nonetheless.

So yeah - either Snyder has based his cowl's brow sculpt EXACTLY on the AO cowl (unlikely) or it's a fake.

Wrong - the brow detailing is pretty much identical to the Origins cowl - there are way too many points of similarity for it to be otherwise.

10-ish years ago someone posted an supposed on-set picture of the new Batman (Begins) costume. It was quickly shown to be fake when someone found the original photo which was a picture of Sam Raimi on a film set - in the manip he'd been replaced with Batman.

I have to agree; and as lujho shows, the similarities are apparent. On the other hand, fix the and that's a pretty decent "real" suit.

Um, pretty much no-one was convinced it was anything other than a manip, but it was unusual in that it was not easy to immediately disprove it as fake.

That's what they did with the MoS suit reveal image, so people saw the suit how they wanted you to see it, before less flattering set pics leaked.

Yeah but part of the definition of a leak is that it happens when you don't want it to. OF COURSE if that pic had been real it wouldn't have been the way WB would have wanted us to first see it, but a leak is a leak and there's nothing you can do if it happens.

The first look we got of the Begins suit WAS from a leak that WB definitely wouldn't have wanted us to see. It was a blurry pic of a maquette that had bale's face photoshopped into it. We also saw accurate pencil drawings clearly based on a photo of the suit before we ever got a real look at the suit.

Sometimes leaks happen. Otherwise there wouldn't be a word for them.

That's what they're waiting for I'm sure. They know their shooting sked and when they'll be filming scenes of the suit and they'll release the image right before then.

I'm posting this to apologize for my behavior some pages back.

You may all have already forgotten it or don't give a rats butt about anything I say, which is totally fine and understandable. I wont make excuses other than I was dealing with a personal situation that left me in a poor state of mind and I chose to be incredibly, petty, and stupidly immature on an online message board as an easy outlet at the time.

Normally I would just let something like this slip by and carry on, but I genuinely respect online communities such as these that generate conversation about things we all love, even when said conversations can get heated and we don't all agree with each other. Places like this where most of us all respect one another are hard to come by and I acted out of line.

I'm going to stop writing this now so I don't make any more of a butt out of myself. So anyway. For any of those who even know what I'm talking about, I apologize and I hope we're cool.
