Well, I'll remain leery about this info since it seems random and not really in line with what Snyder would do based on his past work. The only thing I would buy is if the boots were something like Robin's in the Teen Titans toons.

Just remember that lighting/hollywood magic/post color correction all plays a big role too.
Snyder knows what he's doing.
We'll be happy campers.

I can't comment on that.

But I will say that I painted those parts that same day (2hrs before Con) with the paint I had available with me at the time.
I'll be repainting again this weekend.
Cheers.

OH, it makes sense now. Thanks for clearing that up for us.

You only had gold paint with you at the time. You couldn't leave vital parts of the suit unfinished! That would be embarrassing. Especially for a professional cosplayer of your caliber. I've been in that kinda time crunch too bro, and things happen. I understand your peril. Stories are formed, things are said... and well ya end up with a gold batman. What can ya do.

Looking forward to seeing it painted in black this weekend!

This cosplayer who claims these are the true colors of the suit.

You know what would make that suit look loads better? Having the cape over his shoulders more like it is in the movie.

Well film accuracy isn't his number one priority clearly...

That said, in the pictures released, the cape isn't particularly completely over the shoulders. I really can't wait to see it down over his chest.

I know but it's a minor thing that makes a big difference.

The cape is over the shoulders. Not all the way but certainly the top of his shoulders are covered unlike in the cosplay where the cape goes straight back just over his traps. Hope that makes sense

Well these cosplayers know a few people that they trust and will bet their life that this suit will feature gold highlights.

These cosplayers would just ruin a 3000 dollar suit for no reason? I think not!

Well they are wrong. I am certain and I trust my sources.

This pic and colour looks better, I hear from somebody at the industry this are the colors in the suit, I hear ...

But...why? Why not just keep it black? What's the point?

It's like putting a violin playing smiley in the comment, no point. :vln:

A bit of a nit pick, but it looks like the cosplayer didnt get the quads of the suit positioned quite right. They look a little twisted inward. The Wondercon picture shows them better. Again, just a nit pick. Very nice work overall though! Not into the brass accents that much though.

I would accept a bronze or gold belt but to add that to the fins makes no sense. I've never seen that design on any batsuit and it looks odd. Leave the fins black.

These cosplayers wouldn't have made these alterations if they didn't have confidence they were accurate. Even if they turn out to be wrong, I don't get why people feel the need to be such d**ks about it.

When colour pics are revealed and the fins and all those bits are black you can point your fingers and say "haha I told you so" all you want, and if they turn out to be bronze they can do the same, but until then why not just wait and see and have a bit of decorum and respect?

Same goes for the batarang guy. Just leave it be until we can say one way or the other.

Even if they're wrong, why go out of the way to call someone a liar? People can make honest mistakes and receive incorrect information and such. Doesn't mean they're trying to BS us.

But maybe it's just me who feels this way.

Also, just say we'd not yet got a look at the superman suit for this movie and someone came on here saying Snyder changed the buckle to a rectangle - a change that also makes no sense and most people don't like. People would be treating them the same way.

I hear what your saying. I'm not calling anyone a liar, just think their info is wrong. Even if they're not, it doesn't seem that they're claiming to have seen it themselves, so they may be way off in the execution.

They are black. No worries.

Anyway the point is simple. It's for attention. It's a specific, seemingly random design choice right? It was made up by a certain band of Cosplayers to obtain more attention for their work. It makes them appear "in the know" & it provides more opportunities for these people to make a living out of playing dress up, or obtain connections. Along with other perks like feeling important and popular.

Many cosplayers have done this before. This isn't a case of pointing fingers, its an actual method they use. Its only ever "their word". They will typically reply with "no comment" or "I can't comment on that". It's a simple ploy, that usually goes over pretty well. thats all.

The last people you should ever trust concerning films and the BTS details, are cosplayers. Even the man in the picture above (Jordan Chapman, crossing his arms) has been caught in several lies before concerning this very film.

Lujho, your the man haha. I've briefly explained why some people are more sour than others. We have been burnt before by these kind of people and if it were an honest mistake, then I would totally agree with you!

Are we being d**ks about it? I didn't get that impression.

I just believe the information is untrue. It's probably like TwayneP said, someone mentioned there being "gold" on the suit (probably some bronze highlights on the belt) and it was blown out of proportions. Anyway, we'll see in May 15th.

Cheers for clearing that up, well we'll see when the trailer hits in May :woot:

Even if they're wrong, why go out of the way to call someone a liar?

When someone makes baseless claims and are unwilling (or unable) to back up such claims with any kind of evidence, explanation, or even reasonable logic, they absolutely deserve to be questioned, doubted, and called out on their BS.

Many of us who have been here a long time have seen plenty of attention-seeking liars come through the various SHH subforums making ridiculous claims of "inside info" and things like that. Rarely do any of these people pan out as truthful individuals with real information. When you get explanations that include things like "can't comment on that", "you'll see", "trust me", "my source", or "you'll be happy", they serve as automatic red flags of total and utter BS.

Now, if this person's claims turn out to be true, I'd be more than happy to eat my words. But in all honesty, why should we place any trust in a cosplayer who seems to only want people to look at his cosplay outfit and possibly has more than one SHH account?

Guys, it's obvious that the suit doesn't have bronze on it.

The knuckles, fins and toes will be kryptonite green! :D
