*sigh* Again, still looks black to me.
Well we can see it with the filter, the lightning and whatever at night to look black... BUT IN THAT PIC AND IN THE COSTUME IS weared away bronze

They appear to have:

ben-afflecks-batman-chases-jared-letos-joker-suicide-squad-04.jpg

Which makes me think... if it is the same suit that gets damaged in BvS, then it would also have bullet holes by now (as we've seen it get them in the trailer). If it is different suit altogether, why does it have same scratches?

I am probably overthinking this, though...

I personally think that SS (or at least Batmans scenes) will be set before BvS. Not why I think this exactly, but the lack of damage is a good point I'd say.

The pic isn't as close detailed (lightning, etc...) as the official ones.. So I wouldn't be so sure if it's or isn't as damaged as BvS one.

They look substantially identical, so far as I can tell.

All "Arkham" costumes are dreadful, incidentally.

The Batsuit from the first two Arkham games isn't that different from the Snyder Batsuit...don't really see how one is "dreadful" while the other is sublime.

If the build from the Arkham games is akin to a "shaved gorilla", then what about Beastfleck? He's just as musclebound.. Just smelling a double standard here...

I wouldn't say "all" necessarily, the first one is OK, although the gauntlets and boots were a bit much. I do agree the Origins and AK suits are simply awful and way "over-designed", if you will.
They're OK for the games, I suppose, but I certainly hope we never see anything like that in a live action movie.

There are definitely no bullet holes.

I see no double standard. "Arkham" games' Batman build is ridiculous. Beastfleck is nowhere near that as no human being could ever be built like that.

Not "IS", you should say "looks to you like it is".

Okay guys, I think it's safe to say now that Wolf is blind.

Meaning?

Of course there are bullet holes in the gif. You should reread some of the previous posts first.

Both are very muscular and look like bodybuilders. Yeah, the Arkham build is slightly more ridiculous with the forearms but that's due to the medium and the engine used for the Arkham games (look up Gears of War).

The overall effect is the same...both are quite swole, and the difference between them isn't big enough to call one "ridiculous" and not the other. If some brought the Arkham Batsuit to live-action, it would look quite similar to the Snyder suit build-wise.

I'd also add that Batman's body in TDKR, which heavily inspires Batfleck, is just as, if not more, ridiculous as the Arkham games.

Well, I disagree. I find this to be way too over-the-top, especially with how thin the waist is, how broad shoulders are and how thick the arms are. True, Affleck's Batman looks bestial and huge, but it doesn't have those silly proportions. It can't have them.

TDKR build is ridiculous, but the key word is "inspires". It also can't be achieved in the real life, as comic book build usually is way over the top.

By the way, I shall make it easier for matt47 and repost my point on the suit here:

Like I said, if they tried bringing the Arkham suit to live action it would look very similar to the Batfleck suit. They're in different mediums, which explains the different proportions, but they're the same general build...super-muscular.

Which is why I find it strange to dismiss the Arkham suits based on their build when Batfleck is built the same way. Video game builds are way over the top just like comic book builds are way over the top, like you said.

When it comes to live-action superheroes, Batfleck is probably the biggest of them all apart from the Hulk himself.

Okay, you do have a point when it comes to this. It must be due to the engine. Hell, even Jim Gordon is huge in Arkham Games.

But we were talking about the build, not suits. I don't think regwec was talking about proportions when calling Arkham suits dreadful. Those were two separate statements.

Never thought of this actually. But yeah, it seems to be the case.

Compare Reeve's cape to Cavill's and you'll see why it's CGI. But mostly because of safety, they didn't have a cape when filming the Batpod scenes TDK Trilogy.

They more often than not did actually. They tested it with the cape and found that it wouldn't get caught in the wheels and like the visual of it flapping away, so 90% of the time it's the real cape on the real Batpod.

Whether talking about the builds or the suits themselves, I still don't think it's fair to call one dreadful and the other beautiful because they're really not that different. The Arkham suit is certainly much, much closer than any of the previous cinematic Batsuits.

I'm not complaining at all! I love it actually. I'd much rather have exaggerated superhero physiques (within reason) than the normal guys in costumes (looking at you, Routh and Maguire).

Here's a manip I adjusted from ifriedrice original...I know I can't let go of the white eyes...

I wonder before how long before some blog picks this up and claims it's actually Ben?...

I've seen so many manips that originated here being misrepresented as actual set/promo pictures on these random sites.

If we got CIA in a Suicide Squad group shot, then I think that may be possible :funny:

Indeed. It all depends on the medium being utilised. The Arkham Batman takes the athleticism and endurance aspects of the character to unrealistic levels. Nobody could glide, run or fight at that high standard continuously. But again, it's a video game, and people want to play out that fantasy. To be Batman at his absolute best all the time. So the bigger than usual build in the comics and games doesn't bother me too much. Taking inspiration from it for the movies, like Batfleck does, usually results in a good outcome. Big and intimidating, but suited to 'real life'.

Yeah, I made one of Ben wearing a "Team Batfleck" shirt that got picked up a few places actually...took it as a compliment:yay:
