Arkham City suit definitely looks better with those proportions. Is it an unlockable skin from the start? I think that's what I'll do on my first playthrough.
The game starts with Batman wearing that suit, and he upgrades to the new suit at an early point in the story. You can select the original suit as his active costume at any time, though. One caveat, though: right now there is a bug that occurs when you change costumes. Normally, Batman's suit accumulates battle damage as the game goes on, However, if you switch suits at any point and then switch back to the suit he would normally be wearing, he will no longer show any battle damage for the rest of the game.
If you enjoy seeing the battle damage on the suit, I recommend you not touch the alternate costumes (including the original suit) at all for your first playthrough.
The new suit is also really beautiful, despite the fact that it's the sort of armour I usually prefer to avoid. The cowl in particular has a better shape, in my opinion, than the classic Arkham cowl.

There was another glitch with this too. I switched to the Arkham City suit after beating story mode. I went to Wayne tower and I had to rescue Fox from a gunman. The gunman made Batman remove the cowl, but I think this was only meant to be done while wearing the Arkham Knight suit. Because he took the cowl off, but it was still on, and his hands were empty, but he had Bruce Waynes hair now coming out from the top of the cowl! It was funny, but I was surprised to see such a glitch!![]()
It seems that New 52 suit doesn't have that problem though. I've seen the video where Wayne detaches the cowl the same way as the "Arkham Knight" suit's one in that scene whenTim Drake forces him to lock himself up in the cell.
By the way, most of the suits are atrocious in this game to me. I like Flashpoint cowl the best though (second favorite being New 52 one, for short ears). I hope someone will make a mod with white eyes instead of red ones of Flashpoint cowl, as I'd really like to see that.
As for the navy blue cape and cowl, I agree with people who think that it would look good in live action. In most ligthings you can't tell it apart from black anyway, but under certain light it looks better than a pitch black one. I believe it has to do with the way it reflects light. It has to be very dark though, akin to the "Arkham City" suit.

I'm assuming you have this for PC? I pre ordered mine for One but don't have any extra skins besides the Anime one and the ones from story mode. I'm searching near and far to try and figure out how to get that TDKR one.![]()
Given the evident popularity of the "Arkham" games, it is surprising that nobody has started a thread in which they can be discussed.
I'm gonna expand on that and say the whole image is simply beautiful. Batman+red skies=epic.
That initial AK suit does look pretty nice. I wouldn't call it the AC suit exactly - it's clearly different enough that it's meant to be an actual different suit. Kind of in-between the AC and AO suits and slimmed down (not that that makes sense chronologically as AO came first).
But yeah, not bad. Although I don't ever need to see cape clips/clasps again.
And it IS really nice seeing an AA/AC-ish style suit with better proportions.
Honestly, I think Rocksteady should rerelease special editions of the first two games at some point down the line, with upgraded graphics that included much more realistic proportions (not just for Batman but for everyone), because I would love to see those suits done with realistic proportions. The initial AK suit is the closest we've seen to that.
I'd definitely get a figure of that suit if they released one.
Gotta go real dark blue, though. Too light would just look wrong.
I just feel that now with the live action grey bodysuit, the emblem, the cowl, the boots, the gloves, are all changeable to make any type of Batsuit the fans would want. Dark blue? Done. Longer ears? Done. Smaller chest symbol? Done.
100% agreed. Never cared for the blue and lighter gray. Im also not big on the oval.I've never been a fan of the blue look
Batman was always supposed to have worn black. The bluish look came about due to inferior coloring methods where you had to highlight black with blue, and then the blue just started to dominate the look.
When Batman decided to don a Bat motif I highly doubt he decided on a blue color pattern?
Again in comic art blue often adds a pop but it's not needed in live action.
That's to obscure, what is the point of being blue if it's almost indistingible from black?
That tone is for the cape, the rest of batman can use a light blue/gray.
